Buffy was really fond not only her new step dad. So it was really a loss for her to loose him too. Well it must be she knows what she had (and what she doesn't had with Hank).
Oh.. I think Spike was only angry then when Buffy thought he was cold. Ohhh and the guilt. He promised his uncle? I don't know how much he could have done after Hank got custody. Mmm and he is willing to let Buffy stay. That's what she first wanted till he thought it was to dangerious....
Ah the wait till the next chapter :)

I'm really liking the story so far. Even thouhg Buffy's had it rough, she's no damsel in distress. In stead she's trying to regain control in her life. That's what I especially like about this fic. And of course, I'm some action between Spike and underage Buffy real soon. :)

I liked the flashback, it was interesting to learn what Buffy first thought of William. I'm glad Spike has decided to let Buffy stay. Great chapter!

I like your story idea and am following your updates but haven't' read it yet. I'm just stopping by to empathize with your lost chapter pain. Another good way to save work in case of program quitting on you is to give the document a name right away. If a document has a name, you can usually 'recover' it when you log into the word processing program again. But if it's still 'untitled', you are usually completely out of luck. Just a thought. Again, that happened to me and it is so depressing when you think about all that lost work. Seems like the replacement work is never quite the same, is it? :-) I look forward to seeing more of this story and will review again when I've had a chance to really settle down and give it full attention. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Ah good Spike had to go out now. Then Buffy hadn't wait any longer. Sounds as if Spike is a full time bartender... and this place sounds interesting. And Cordelia sounds like a potential help. (I liked the background info here.)
