*phew* So Fred is okay. Gunn's gang got her. Wow, the atmosphere got icy. Gunn was a bit better than Briggs; this guy is really hostile....
Well Buffy isn't so far off. Spike is a Slayer (of Slayers) and demons... she just didn't tell that he's a vampire. *gg* They'll find out soon enough I fear. Gunn isn't dumb.
Good that they parted so soon with the group or they would have find out. Better this way around :)

Great chapter! I really loved Spike geeking out on the idea of being a slayer. "they came after us with their fangs, ‘cause that’s what vamps do, y’know, an’-" Totally hilarious. :-D

I'm so happy to have Spike and Buffy back together again!

This was a fast paced, funny chapter. You totally captured what a crap liar Spike is, and his asides had me laughing. Introducing Gunn's gang really added to the excitement.

This was great: "Buffy stared at him blankly. “Okay, how is it that the people on the hellmouth are more in the know than you? Are you telling me I actually needed to move to a big city to have a secret identity?” Her hands found her hips, her head tilting. “Superman was right all along. Who knew?”

Thanks for another entertaining chapter in this delightful story.

And the character of Gunn is quite interesting, knowing when to just let it be. And Buffy all telling Spike this was the last time he got to be a slayer. Totally love that. Looking forward to the next update, whenever that is. I'm very patient.

That was an exciting well choreographed reunion. There was very little happy in the reunion after the initial kissing, but that rang true to the situation. Spike having all the answers after their separation also rings true. Here's hoping Buffy's in a forgiving mood...

Update, yay :-D And how happy Buffy is seeing Spike. *read on* Oh but only till she remembered that the hurt she felt when separated from Spike. It was painful for Spike too? No use to think about the 'what if', too late for that. Hopefully Buffy will come around hopefully; Spike didn't have them both in pain on purpose.
Looking forward to more when you have time.

I just love the fact that these two can argue back and forth, back and forth .....with their mouths still moist from kisses and Buffy so pleased to see him and ....... then, as per usual, he then gets a Buffy-knucklesandwich. No love lost, or gained, because it's all there, under the clever guise of outrage and sharp words and blunt fists. Theirs is a potency which you've just multiplied with the intensity of a claim.

All follow Buffy so that the story can continue ....... thanks!

Buffy's illness and weakness were well described, and I'm loving Fred's over eager helpfulness. She's just what Buffy needs. The fight was surreal seen through Buffy's dizzy state, and I enjoyed the rush of power coming back to her harkening the return of Spike.

Now that he's found her, how will Buffy react to the truth of the claim and the hold it has over them both? I'm looking forward to finding out.
