Excellent description of the desolation Buffy's suffering in the wake of the claim. I love that she's now got Fred by her side, and Lorne's arrived on the scene as well. Now she's got a researcher to help discover the ramification of the claim, she should get some answers. Running into Lorne again would help with the answers, too.

Was Spike aware of the physical agony separation would cause? Is he going through the same thing? I'm dying to find out!

how sad, i can't wait to read more of what is going to happen. please update soon? i wanna know if spike can feel her pain through the claim and if he is going to find her. and are fred and buffy still in the hell dimension or are they back in los angeles? i'm a little confused.

Fred and Lorne! Squee! Soooo.......Fred being gone 5 years changes a bit. Interesting, though, putting Buffy in that library.

As for Buffy......well, this is what she gets for being a coward. I don't mean that in a mean way, it just is.

Wonder how Spike is dealing?

We have Fred and Lorne now, and clearly still now Spike, but this should bide a little bit of time. And her pain, and the fact that she has connected it back to that time in the hotel, I'm very proud of her. Hopefully Spike feels a bit of the pain, too. No fair to make it one sided. I love that Buffy kept he note, that it means so much to her. Good her anger didn't last long.
Thought so... it is the claim that makes her hurt (more the absence of her mate) because thinking of Spike made her feel better. I wonder who Spike feels; it must affect him too.
Wow, what a first meeting! Even if Buffy was hurting so much she managed to save Fred. And Lorne arrived too. Things getting interesting :) I hope Spike will come looking for Buffy very quick because they are both hurting so much.

FINALLY I had the chance to catch up to this fic. I missed the past 4 chaps or so, and read them all today (inbetween sporadic bursts of homework, haha). Great, great direction this story is going, I'm loving it very much. :) Glad to see that Spike is letting her go, but not without a little bit of help. She's still 17 after all! Much to young to be on her own. :( Looking forward to more!

Stupid girl! How about having a bit of faith in him enough to tell him what you'd want? Ugh.....

And she should so shutup about her boobs - C-cups ain't small! Most anyone skinny would consider them big!


Thankfully, Spike is perceptive and mature enough to know exactly what's going on......and I doubt he's asleep. I'm sure he's aware of her moral dilemma, too......he's known her too long by now not to realize the guilt trips she puts on herself. I loved his attempt to get her to talk to her mom again after the battle......adults know that things get said in anger that aren't truly meant....and nothing has to be so dire or so dramatic.

Oh.. Spike knows that Buffy will run. It takes a lot of trust from his site but he is right: He must let her go to keep her. Sadly he was right, she is indeed on the run. Awe, he put money in her pocket? Very thoughtful of him; so he knows Buffy will have some problems less with the money till Spike finds her. Loved the note.
