I feel so guilty - I read all of your stories religiously (under both names) and have never left a review. You are by far my favorite Spuffy fanfic writer. Your stories capture them in such a vivid and realistic way. They never seem like cardboard cutouts in your hands.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the time and effort you put into your writing. Also, I hope you make a speedy recovery from your surgery!!

What a place to end it. Feral vampires do not equal cuddly puppies. At least she got to him before the sun and there was a Spike to save and a Spike to explore some feelings with. Great chapter. Looking forward to the next.

This was a vivid, emotional chapter. Buffy's sense of loss and helplessness was nicely drawn, and I really liked the image of Spike popping up out of the bloody bath and grabbing her. Congratulations on the FF Award, and have a smooth recuperation.

High impact chapter detailing Spike's appalling 'demise' and Buffy's heartbreak and self-reproach. No other characters required, just the odd squeak from Buffy - "Spike?" and the terrible sound of squishy organs and a glut of blood splashing as she removes the sword from his gut.

Perfect ending: he's not dead as such, but those amber eyes and fangs at her throat are not exactly what she's hoped for ....... Fantastic reading.

Again, I wish you well with your surgery.

Hey buddy, she's not a snack bar...lol! Okay, he's really hungry after having nearly all of his blood drained, so I can understand his actions. I just hope he stops before sucking her dry. I felt really bad for Spike in this chapter. I can't believe Drusilla could do that to him. No, I can believe it. She is insane, after all. I hope they get major payback on the bitch and Angelus after this. And yes, you are just cruel to leave it here. I hope your surgery goes well. Can't wait for more=)

Could have done without all the graphic detail - and what a place to leave us! He could drain her, or she could just drown (again?). But of course then it wouldn't be Spuffy. Still.

Author's Response: I don't usually do graphic stuff, granted, but the outline for this fic does call for occasionally violent images/events. That's why I have the warning up.

Great chapter! I like how you handled the last scene, very realistic. I wouldn't have bought season two Buffy willingly offering him her blood, and I love that she tried to use water first.

Oh Spike was sleeping because he is back now in his motel, after Kendra's attack. ~ Oh bad.. Drusilla found Spike and wants him dead because he'll destroy their plans.. that's indeed evil. Letting him burn to dust and he can't prevent it himself. At last Buffy isn't giving up. And now it's all a matter of time... being in time to safe Spike. I hope she will.
