Killing me a little that it ended there. He gave her one extra day and in that time she even managed to move. She's really done a good bit of productive thinking there, and I'm glad Fred was able to help, too. It is quite a lot to think about. Though I can think of worse eternities than hanging by Spike's side. Spike so convinced that Buffy will never lover him... and eternity at Buffy's side. Poor Spike. Hopefully she will come around before the end of the world. Amazing chapter.

With all her long-way-round logic, it takes the objectivity of a relative stranger to Buffy's life, to sort things out for Buffy. A few simple words and there it is: a problem halved is a problem solved ...... in other words, girl, work it out with him rather than without him.

And now Buffy has a firm footing. A job and a home. And she doesn't hesitate to invite him in.

Buffy is insecure about what to do and not to risk to be hurt again. I love Fred's logic to figure it out together or And it will continue to be complicated until you uncomplicate it :)
But Buffy really wants to have her time; I think we'll get to know in the next chapter what Spike thinks about that. ~ Till then!

As usual.. a lot of Buffy babble and battling her feelings about .. Spike in particular. And then finally deciding.. about a job, a place to live, and Spike.. Come in - means much more than just the simple gesture of a good hostess..

i really like what you've done with this so far. I also really hope that Buffy gets a taste of her own bitchiness. Really, she's being horrible!!! And I know that you know that, just don't let it go unnoticed in the story... Because Spike deserves to yell at her for being so damn stupid.

loved it soooooo much. buffy's so freakin' selfish though. i mean, i get that she's is conflicted. hell, i would be too but she's not the only one who has to deal with this and she needs to realize that spike is really there for her.....contrary to what she may believe. hopefully, her one night away from him will be enough for her to figure out what role spike is gonna play in her life. she can't have it both ways. he was dru's whipping boy for over a century. i don't think it would be right or fair to have him move on to being buffy's. especially with the claim envolved. great job. more soon.

Bittersweet chapter, in a way sad. Very emotional...
Buffy is struggling with what she became (part of a claim) and Spike thinks she doesn't love him? Think of being caught in a marriage without love for eternity...
I hope time will help them; Spike thinks it won't at last not soon. ~ Looking forward to more. *tries again*
