I wonder if Buffy will still be after the person that did this to Spike when she finds out who did it. I hope she will. She's pissed off enough now.
Awe, not thinking to be able to learn it and yet to master it (microwave) gave Spike a good feeling, of self assurance.
And because of Buffy (when he thought of her hector / frighten Giles) he was able not to totally panic. OH! I didn't think of that! Spike would loose his accent, at last Giles fears that. Would be a shame :)

I can only guess that an English person would be mad at someone trying to teach English to an English person even if they already speak English, there are so many different dilects of English even withing the counrty I live in. I grew up with a different dilect then what I am using now, then people think I am strange when I say certain words. But Giles should offer to help them not really demand that if he is going to learn English he must from someone who is actually English.

Y'know, I was wondering how that whole accent thing was going to play out. Obviously, if Spike's learning to talk from two Americans, he'd end up sounding like them. Hooray for Giles for making sure our boy regains his nummy accent!
