Wow, a lot comments on the first chapter already :)
One of Buffy's Ex is hitting Spike? Mmm don't think at the moment Giles can be included.
Who is the attacker? That is the question.. after the description it has to be one of Buffy's Ex. Xander never had Buffy .. so I would guess Riley because Angel would now about how much Vampires heal. *checks something* Buffy's name wasn't mentioned. So if 'she' was Anya it must be Xander. But when did Xander beat Spike?..... a lot of questions here :-D Please more :)

i love the way you make the intruder appear to be xander , but i know it's that moron with the big broody forehead,. Sounds just like him " she's mine" "you took her from me" "How dare you touch what's mine " god i can't stand him. Anxiously awaiting more updates.

Good chapter. I think you have a tendency to make Spike the victim in all your stories. Particulary, I would like to see a stronger Spike and not feel sorry for him like I always do. Maybe, sometimes, you can make Buffy the victim? Please dont take this the wrong way. This is just my opinion. Please update soon!!

Oh my GOD! I've actually re-read this chapter twice now, for two reasons really. One, cause it's just so darn good! Two, cause I wanted to figure out what was going on. Really really excellent start here, I'm looking forward to reading this one. =D
