Wow! Never would have seen that coming. Poor Buffy - losing her dad and brother like that. I can see lots of angst coming up but hopefully some Spuffy loving also *crossing fingers*

Must have another...soon. I love the turn this story took. Yes, it is dark but true. (Technically, Elizabeth would probably be dead too...of course.) Good job; can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve. Keep it intense!

Oh... my... wow... I... this....

It overwhelmed me. I almost cried when buffy's father died, and I almost lost it when Matthew... little Matthew... joined his father too. So young...

This chapter is intense and had me at the edge of my seat and at the end of it all, I just got speechless. I literally held my breath, it was that intense.

Very very great work. Looking forward to next chapter.

It’s going to take a lot to redeem William in Buffy’s eyes. She’s going to, probably already does, hate him for this.

WTF WAS THAT ABOUT!!!!!1I FIGURED HE WAS IN THE UNION ARMY AND THAT BY HANK SHOWING WILLIAM THE SECRET SOMETHING BAD WOULD HAPPEN, BUT FOR HANK AND MATT TO DIE, THATS SO SAD!!!!! i love this story and am happy u updated. i really wish that matt had at least not have died, elizabeth hates william now, i dont no if i really like him either. i really hope that he some how makes up for wat he has done and wat he had let be done to elizabeth and that he some how regains her trust. also i hope that everything works out well in the end and that while elizabeth is with william that he protects her. please update as soon as u can, im DYING to read more. thanx

oh god. dammit, what an asshole. this sotry is amazing, you have me filled with rage right now- so much that i'm sorry this isn't neary as far as amazing and in depth as a review that you should get for this story. this has so much potential (look you already have me filled with emotions!) and i am so glad to see it on here. i could feel her anger, and him... i dont know what to say. the execuation scene was brutal and very well written. i'm looking forward to reading more, please dont hold off!

Yikes. That was intense. Poor Buffy, how awful! I kinda can't blame William too much, though--he was fighting for what he thought was right, and he didn't like that his soldier had killed her brother (so he isn't completely evil) but still, ordering the death of her father...that was harsh. after they'd been so nice to him, too. he was a spy the whole time. at least Buffy's going with them, now, though.

Um, and this is a Spuffy fic? I'll admit, I'm a sucker for the kidnappee falling in love with the misunderstood kidnapper. But William just burnt down her home and had her father and her baby brother killed right in front of her. That's not something that you "get over". I'm gonna assume that you have a plan, although for the life of me I can't figure out how you'd fix this. I'll continue to read, but it'll be with great reservation.

Ohh so is William by any chance really a spy for the Union....would sure put a nice spin to this story. Is he even British in this story? I mean I don't know how you would work that in, I'm not sure what if any involvement that British had in this war. Did they even care?
