I loved the Riley punchage! And I can't help but wonder if Spike believed Forrest, and Graham when they outed Buffy as his mystery dance partner. Buffy's closing thoughts were really interesting, can't wait to find out what her decision is. Fantastic update!

Personally, I'd be pretty flattered that a guy would punch another guy down for calling me a whore. It was totally uncalled for, and any guy could tell that Riley's the type that needs a blunt lesson. Spike wasn't that violent, considering he only hit him once, then left.
And she was the one that grabbed the tequila bottle in the first place...can't blame him for you getting drunk, Buffy. Nobody made you swallow those drinks.
I hope she isn't mean to him now.
Author's Response: I'm kind of making Buffy see the punch like I would-- it's totally flattering that someone would care that much, and not very violent, considering, but she's trying very hard to find reasons why she shouldn't care for him-- grabbing for straws, and all that. :[ Doesn't make it right, but that's how our Buffy is!

i love how you used the earthquake and buffy's death in your story, they fit perfectly. the sharing mood that followed was great too. and, of course, i like even more that spike has finally realized where his heart his going!

Well that chap was filled with promising revelations. I'm surprised there wasn't a bit more touchy feely between them in the aftermath of the quake (but that's just me being all inpatient for the spuffy, I can wait.... no really, I can.... I can damnit!).

Spike's thoughts on Dru must have been particularly hard to write, nevertheless it is very well done.

Good for Spike, realizing Dru isn't the be all, end all. But did what happened to Buffy on the beach have to do with an earthquake? That part was a little unclear.
