I enjoy this story so very much. I don't know where you are going with it, but I am looking forward to whatever the outcome. I can't say that I am looking forward to any of the scooby scenes the things have played out so far, but I will read with one eye closed!

Intense intense INTENSE!!!! Glad to see the update-- don't feel bad about the delay! Although the wait was kind of KILLING me! haha. :) How long has Buffy been back in Sunnydale, though? I REALLY wanted her to be pregnant for some reason... I'm trying to find ways around Spike's vampire senses. "Ooooh maybe the egg hasn't implanted yet!" haha. Can't wait for more!

Oh this is the best morning surprise ice and snow and cocoa and a warm great fic to read. I'm reading this and thinking that Spike can read pregnancy on everyday normal woman but what if a slayer and pregnancy gives off completely different signs? Spike has come into contact with a lot of Slayers in his time but when has he ever run into a possibly pregnant one to compare her with a non-pregnant one? I mean it could gives off completely different things that maybe vampire senses would read differently and to be honest in the short spans of time these two have come together it's been volatile either in arguing or pain or then in need so quite possibly Spike wasn't picking up on anything being out of the normal because he was so focused on other things.

This was the most poignant part:
“William wasn’t anything like Spike. You know that he couldn’t be like Spike. Vampires are just demons who take over a body when the soul is gone. They don’t have anything to do with the people that were there before.”

There was a pause. Almost infinitesimal, but it made the hackles on Buffy’s neck rise. Her eyes slid around to the windshield again, and she barely heard Giles’ voice as he said, very softly, “You’re right, Buffy. They don’t.”

Because if you are a Watcher or a Slayer and killing vampires is what you have to do you cannot look at them as being anything other then full on evil because if you let yourself see they have any part of their own humanity left in them it would make yourself really question who you are and what you are doing and your calling. In this perspective Buffy's theory about she herself being a killer is then dead on.

I really love these exchanges between Dawn and Spike because she gives him all the information we want him to get. She feeds his need to know and gives him time to process whats going on with Buffy. He now knows she did love him enough to run home and want to get back in their time to save him from being turned.

I want to write more but I have to get up and moving but I love this new chapter and it was so worth waiting for.

Good angle of Dawn inadvertently keeping Spike informed of just what is happening at Revello and with Giles and the Scoobies ..... and Buffy. Insights into the girl's emotions whilst away from him, how she is coping - or not - what she is NOT managing to file away .......

The web is tangled and not getting unravelled anytime soon. Which means that Buffy is still holding on to her past, their past; their connection, now.

Well, good. Actually, it's great. Fantastic. More, more more, please! This is a wonderful story.

Well doesn't that just sum them up, even if Giles is being an ass about things. I can only imagine his anger pushing them closer together, talk of destiny. A lovely idea.

I hope Spike is wrong on this one. The thing about Buffy being not pregnant. I mean Dawn has a point that if he was around pregnant women he would know. But by the hatred that he displayed at the end, we know he didn't ever kill a pregnant woman. So how would he know about the senses being different. Plus, wasn't Buffy like...JUST brought back...she'd be like 2 weeks pregnant-- since i remember she made love to William like a few days before she disappeared (correct me if I'm wrong). And looking at wikipedia (hehe) it says that fetus develops around 8 weeks and thats when the heart beats. So...are we still open to the fact that she could be pregnant still? Hope so!! I'll let you deal with my wonderment.
And please tell me we'll have Spuffiness soon...waited around 20 chapters for it. Or can u give a ballpark of how many more chapters there are left?

This is just exceptional and moving story here with a Spuffy universe twist. This really wasn't at all what I expected in starting this story and I was so blown away with it I read it twice this weekend. You have captured the characters so well and their emotions and love so well this is a credit to the Whedon universe. I love your style in writing and wondered if you had any more work posted up on another site cause I would love to read anything by you.
