Oh I love this whole new Chapter 8 that you've written.

It's soooooooo goooood!!!!

I love reading how they've reacted to eachother in this chapter. When I first read this story I always kept wondering how William must feel or what his point of views would be since I'd noticed it didn't really show up. Very interesting to finally know what's going on from his side!!!!

It's so interesting seeing Buffy trying to resist his charms. You really notice more differences in this chapter between the man, William, and the future man he turns into, Spike. Woah!!! Big difference between the two...amazing how a century plus has changed him.

Awesome job on adding the little bit on Buffy inquiring
time travel. That really showed she was making an effort to try to get back home because I also noticed as you had that she never really made an effort to do anything about her sitation.

Also when she returns hom and says the tears were from the rain....awwwww poor thing. That part also shows how caring William is that he spent the night pacing. Good to know that how much he cares won't change in the century plus that he lives. While we're on that subject, I also love how you've put into Williams side his dreams of a family of his own and of course how much of a nurturer and protector he is. It's so good to know that at least that part of himself, the nurturer, proctector side doesn't change at all as he turns into Spike in the future.

Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad you reviewed the new chapter eight! For a long time, I felt like I should have delved into William's POV a lot sooner, and I just couldn't figure out how to do it. Then, it just hit me and I decided to overhaul the story to fit it in. Not sure how many people have gone back to read the revisions, so your nice review has made my day. :-D

i think this is the best story in fanfiction history! and you retelling all of the experiences that spike went through and showed how he became a vampire over the years, just emphasized everything! i love where you are going with this! please please, update soon! i can't wait to read more!

Woah!!!!!

This chapter is just so full of everything. Don't know quite where to begin....love how Spike realizes who she is from the bracelet and all the feelings and thoughts he's goin through, poor Spike.

Amazing, you even threw in that Dawn notices Buffy's the mark on Buffy while helping her.....

I really feel sad for Buffy and Spike. I feel sad that it seems Buffy's lost the man she loved and wanted to marry and sad that now Spike, realizing who she really was along, now thinks she wasn't really in love with him, she'd just played with him..awww.

I'm so eager to see how things will turn out for Buffy and Spike. Will Buffy be able to love him now as the man he has become, Spike.....or will things not work out because she'd fallen so in love with him as William. Spike had already chained her up before she left, claiming his love for her and demanding she return it....but now that everything has been revealed as to who she is, William's Elizabeth, will Spike still feel love for her at all or will he feel the need to take revenge on her for thinking she'd played with him as William?

Man!!!!!! This chapter is so so so so awesome!!!!

The last thing I expected ever was that they'd call Angel!!!!! You're full of surprises. Thank You, I can't wait to see what will happen next...especially now that you've thrown Angel in to the mix.

How perfectly reasonable - well, for a vampire not in tune with reason, but still - to feel betrayed by the girl he has just seen, who had looked at him with eyes from over one hundred years ago, with the eyes of Elizabeth. He doesn't know yet that the interim period when he first came to Sunnydayle up to when she disappeared, that Buffy had not yet lived the life of Elizabeth and was completely unaware. All he knows now is that it wasn't just a 'resemblance' thing: it was real. The Buffy he has been fighting with, blood and fists and spiteful confrontation, has been his girl, William;s girl, all along. For him, she had just been a memory dragged back by familiar features; for her there had been no connection ....... until now.

Oh, what tangled tales you weave ...... and how interesting is their next encounter going to be?

Author's Response: You're so right, Sue. Inasmuch as she loved William, Buffy also lied to him. She justified it by telling herself that she didn't want to burden him with the information, but now, for Spike, it feels like the worst sort of betrayal. He's held her on a pedestal for over a century, and now he's afraid that all those memories he held dear were just a sham. You're right ... bumpy waters are ahead. Thanks for the review. :-D

Come on Spike remember things remember how when she first met you as William she seemed afraid of you and didn't talk to you unless she had to. Come on she's seen you look dead'er, she freaked out that time you were late and out after dark, she almost called you Spi- on accident one time, she called you Frodo, she could not drive a car much less a horse, you knew she was sad. She was not out to hurt you in his human self do the math here boy. Sorry he seems so down I had to give him a pep talk.
Ok now I can stop poking at a fictional character and say how much I love this story in the way you tell it you bring them all to life. I just love how you have designed Spike and his innocence in William it is a real joy to read something where the writer knows exactly how to play him and his inner voice you just channel him so well.

Reading this made my heart ache for both Spike and Buffy. I do not blame him for thinking Buffy could not have really loved him and was just messing with him as a sort of revenge. Is Angel really needed? I mean its not like they were still together or close at this point if anything I think if he turned up it push Buffy over the edge right now in one more person to the friends list that she'd have to pretend she was ok for and that is draining. But then you never know where a story will go but can I pinch Willow for saying his name when so much else is going on right now? Come on Willow don't you have a God of bad perms to track down?

I don't think I have ever a part where Spike was so destroyed by love before it is brilliant what you have done here. I almost expected him to throw up he was so distraught. As much as I have wanted them to come back together as you read it you yourself feel their heartbreaking pain just like as if you were there. When he dropped to the floor thinking about what he has done now knowing it was his Elizabeth and his thought of did I know her at all?I needed a tissue at that point.
