Yeah, calling Angel, when Buffy nearly escaped, barely, Angelus in London just weeks ago to her.

I hope Buffy pulls up her Slayer bootstraps and takes control of this situation pronto, before it gets out of hand from those meddlers. Giles is being especially dim for how much he's supposed to know as a Watcher about magic and dimensions, etc. Stop trusting Willow to do all the magic!!!

Spike's reeling, since his whole past has been turned upside down now that he knows Buffy was Elizabeth. He doesn't know what was real, what wasn't, what he should do now, who he should trust...........as if his insecurities weren't big enough by this point in canon. And with Glory gone, he doesn't even get to prove himself by saving Dawn.

I hope you won't delay Buffy and Spike's first confrontation. There are things she needs to say, and thingshe needs to hear. And God, I hope Buffy knows Spike and William are basically the same guy. The similarities kept getting thrown at her, so I pray she won't be stupid and fall back on that Council line of "You're not him". I think that might shatter Spike at this point if she insists on denying him. But I think she's become enough of a grown up to be past that.....I hope.

Author's Response: Yeah, one of Spike's biggest obstacles to overcome in this story is that he hasn't had a chance to show them he can/has/will change. He's been good to Dawn (in Forever), but he made her promise not to tell anyone. So, as far as the rest of them know, he's the exact same person he was when he tied Buffy up and threatened to let Dru kill her. Thanks for the review. :-)

Author's Response: Loneliness is said to be the human condition, and that always seemed especially true for Spike - even after he ceased to be one. Hopefully, things can improve for him in this story ... but I'm not saying how, when, where, or with whom. Thanks for the review. :-D

*headdesk* Oh, Willow, you mean well...

You made me ache for Spike in this, too. At first I thought he was going to feel remorse when he remembered he'd been trying to kill her, but for him to think she had been toying with him all along... not understanding that to Buffy, William shared some outward features with Spike, and that's all. Buffy's bought the Council line; she's had to, both in her Slaying and in the past.

And then there's the quandry of whether she would have loved William if she really had believed he was Spike... ouch.

I wasn't expecting any sort of immediate rapprochement, but it's all even more tangled and complicated than I'd guessed.

No don't call Angel, If I remember right she might have seen Angel in the past, who she needs is Spike, and Spike needs her.

Awww she had a William hicky on her neck. Buffy is shell shocked if I were her I'd be at a complete loss too with everone wanting answers and coming face to face with Spike and losing William all at once and who knows what wiggy things happen to the body in time travel I think they are lucky the girl is even standing. Everyone is in a gard place right now it seems.

Oh this just keeps getting better and better. Buffy has gone into a mild form of shock, more or less, Spike is pissed and rather heartbroken (something tells me that Angel's arrival wont help his feelings of betrayel and everything else), no one really knows what to do for buffy or what she has even been through or where. Have I mentioned that I love this story and that it deserves every award that it has won or been nominated for?

I didn't say that I want you to change the plot. I already mentioned a few times that I understand that you made Spike the way he is in your fic, because you had your own plot to follow. I just said that "I thought vampires have photographic memory", that's all.

Mmmm four years later now. Or not.. the Buffy that made the journey is in 2001. So the Buffy of 1997 can't know Spike and she looks different then Spike remembers. Not a pleasant journey back. I wonder if she came back in Sunnydale or apart of it. ~ *wonders if this 2001-Spike had known Buffy in the past too* (Time paradox etc.)
Oh he did, otherwise he wouldn't recognize the bracelet. Oops. He got sent away; well he has a lot to think about now.
