So Spike found out about slayers... and is willing to try to fight them. He fights for the joy of the fight, to pit his strength against the slayer. And so it begins...
~ Caught up at last. Looking forward to Part III because Part II is harder for me to read; I don't like S/D even if this is endurable and I'm sure Part III won't be walking straight into fluffy spuffy.
Author's Response: I'm sorry it's harder to read, but I understand why. I promise it will be worth the wait when Part III comes. Althought you're right, it won't be fluffy. ;)

Oh my.. it almost seemed as if William had a death wish. And regarding the names, William died that night.
But it's easier for him to make Angelus angry for not obeying.
Author's Response: A death wish is a good name for it. He's a man with nothing to lose at this point, and he's acting accordingly. Thanks for reading. :)

William likes to read himself in the papers... he plays a dangerous game. Too dangerous; Angelus happened. *big sigh* And this is the start of Spike the mastervampire. In this way that he doesn't want to do what Angelus says any longer, nothing more.
Author's Response: Yeah, Angelus doesn't temper his punishments when he's angry. It's a hard thing to recover from, but Spike ultimately learns from the experience, which it good. Thanks for reviewing. :)

And William is becoming more and more Spike. I'm sorry for him he lost the book. I'm not sure if the ring is save either.
Author's Response: Possibly not, but he's going to guard that ring carefully in the future. Thanks for reviewing. :)

I'm glad too he hasn't forgotten Elizabeth, even dreamed of her. I wonder (but I'll read I guess) how the third part will be, if he'll recognize Elizabeth in Buffy when he sees her the first time. But Buffy from the past (the younger version of her) who didn't go back in the past, how can she knew him... and so on.
I know I should but I can't feel sorry for Archer. He deserved to be punished. Too bad for him it happened in this way.
Author's Response: It would take a lot more than vampirism and the passage of a few months to make him forget Elizabeth. And like I said, despite the darkness of this part, in remains a romance at heart. I'm glad you liked that scene. Thanks so much for reviewing. :)

I'm glad William kept the ring and the book (and doesn't intend to share (give) the ring with Drusilla.
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. :)

And I fear that is were the Spike/Dru part will take place. Yeah... unavoidable. ~ I'm glad that William still remembers. His past life and Buffy. Yet that will it make harder for him to accept what he is now. I wonder if he still has the ring.
Author's Response: Yes. Although the dynamic of their relationship has changed from the canon of the show, Dru and Spike will be together. I hope it's not too hard for you to read. I know some readers are getting a bit squicked out by it. :P
Thanks for reviewing!

Uh-huh... William did go overboard with the thought of Buffy gone. If the other had only knew that Buffy was his fiance *sigh*. And now we see Drusilla. I guess we all know what is about to happen. William will think that Buffy is dead. What will Spike think? *one more chapter for now*
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)

Awe, cute (William selecting ring after ring but not one is good enough *g*).
Oh noooo now it happened when nobody did think it would. They (Willow probably) brought her back. I wonder if William, Anne and the others will keep their memories of Buffy. And good there are more chapters. (So no saving of William now to become a vampire, huh?
Author's Response: Unfortunately, not. :(
Thanks for reading. :)

Oh she explained and said yes :) That's what William wanted. And he is making sure that she has no other chance then marry her :) Loved it... I wonder if it will ever be a problem for William that Buffy isn't a virgin like he things? Guess not, because he will think he is the reason. ~ The poem? That was scary... (if you know the background of Buffy here). I wonder if Buffy will vanish before William becomes Spike (that being part of the reason).. ~ Till later.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. Thank you. :)

Oh that's it: Buffy said no when William wanted to marry her. And he doesn't know her reasons, maybe he would have understand and then tried to changer her mind *sigh*
I wonder if she can make it right like she thinks... not as easy as washing the glasses.
Author's Response: She does a fair job making it up to him, I think. A litte orthodox, maybe...
Thanks for reading!

Buffy overheard Anne and William? Ah well you know the saying. Good compromise to improve her behavior. A small prize.... Oh Buffy slipped, she told him of cars. ~ Oh I wonder what Buffy did do know.
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)
[Report This]Date: 05/12/2007 - 08:02 am Title: Chapter Twenty-Two
Anne is very much Victorian. What she thinks is old-fashioned but not for her, for her it is the right behavior. If William only knew what Buffy was really hunting and what she wants to prevent.. It's hard for William to find a balance between the way he thinks because he was raised in Victorian times and his wish to let Buffy be herself.
Author's Response: You're certainly right about that. William loves Buffy for who she is, but he has a hard time reconciling that with his training of what a woman should be. Thanks for reading. :)

Oh yeah for sure the man that talked to William. Seems they did more than talking considering the state of his face. But Buffy is used to playing nursemaid :) I wouldn't say they are better now after talking but at last better then the day William went away.
Till next time :)q
Author's Response: No, they needed a lot more than a few words to fix what was wrong between them. But at least in this chapter, they set their feet to the right track,

William is there now but who was talking to him now? ~ So William made his way home. I'm glad Buffy was able to talk to him. Ah that's his secret. Didn't expect that. But something is still off. The man that talked to William at be begin of the chapter maybe.
Author's Response: I'm glad you didn't expect it. That was one of my little secrets, all along, and I was hoping no one would guess. :P
Thanks for the review.

Oh my.. Buffy hasn't patrolled or trained too long. Angelus is better then her. William noticed in his dream? So what about Buffy's dream of his turning? Only a dream....
Oh bad... the girls are there too. She can't take three vampires (this vampires) alone. She was lucky, daylight was fighting with her. I wonder how things regarding four vampires have changed now from the future (past) Buffy knew.
Author's Response: Yeah, Buffy had a hard enough time with Angelus in season two, when she was in relatively good fighting form. Without the daylight on her side, I doubt she could have escaped him here.

I wonder what William thought about, what he has to confess. Oh things don't go well for Buffy when she had to stay behind. She never saw before how different she and William are, their background. And now she is going slaying again? Does she intend to kill Dru to avoiding William's turning? *reads on*
Author's Response: No, Buffy, unfortunately, was judging him by modern standards. Victorians, of course, handled sex much differently. ;)
Thanks for reading!

A lot changed for William but Buffy didn't notice because he didn't tell. Closed doors or loosing money. ~ Things changed? Oh this changed. Buffy underestimated William, he is still Victorian. Oh my I wonder what that will mean. For once that he went away immediately.
Author's Response: Poor William. He tries to protect her from unpleasantness, but I'm afraid this might come back to haunt him in the future. Thanks for reading. :)

Livvy acted oddly? Oh William ordered to be quiet. I wonder if that will be bad for Buffy's position in the house. ~ And he told her he loved her but Buffy wasn't able to say something similar back.. must have been a disappointment of sorts for William. He is indeed breaking several rules for her. The 'Higher Society' won't accept this behavior. Won't that make William's life there harder? Though I hope not. ~ Oh Archer.. the first to disturb the happy bubble. He had it coming even if it will things worse for William. Oh! Buffy said it back; I wonder if William did hear it.
Author's Response: Yeah, he's getting himself into a whole mess of trouble, flaunting her around society when they so obviously consider her beneath them. I think he's just reached the point where he doesn't care about anything except her. Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)

I hope William will talk to Buffy again and tell her what he told Anne. Because otherwise their stories will be different :) Yeah, Buffy was indeed the talk of the evening. Anne didn't say a word yet if they like the thought of William courting Buffy. The rose was very romantic.q
Author's Response: I'm glad you thought so. Thank you. :)

Again...another chapter of debauchery and coming into one's own self for Spike. Such a bleak time that causes him to reinvent himself. Masterful writing. So fun to read!
Author's Response: Thank you very much, Deb. I'm glad you think so highly of the story. :)

(But I can be wrong about the night, just that is was one at the Underwoods). Mmmm Buffy seems to think that it was 'the' night. Then she changed indeed things, a lot. Though I'm curious I have to continue another time. Loved the conversation that resulted from Buffy following William.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for reviewing. :)

Oh yeah.... Buffy found out the hard way why she was invited. Not quite pleasant indeed. Archer had it coming; he underestimated Buffy. Bah.. what a mess. And shouldn't that the evening were William runs into Drusilla...
Author's Response: Could be the evening ... I'm not saying one way or another. :P
Thanks for the review. :)

I have the feeling Buffy did a bad thing for herself, to convince William to accompany her to the party.. even if it was a clever way now to do it. She felt good before they attended the party? I hope it stays this way...
Ah dancecards! I forgot they were used back then.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. :)
[Report This]Date: 05/09/2007 - 04:33 pm Title: Chapter Eleven
Mmmh with the right topic William did indeed open up to Buffy. Till the Underwood visited.. I don't think Buffy remembers Cecily for what she did to William. But when I think of Cecily's remark I'm sure they know that Buffy is 'only' the nurse. And the got an invitation? I fear she is up t something and that something isn't good.
Author's Response: I always got the feeling from FFL that Spike wasn't completely honest with Buffy when telling her about his past. His "always been bad" comment was followed by the clip of William, but I don't think he actually corrected himself by telling her he hadn't always been bad. And he also said "I had to get myself a gang" when, in the following scene, it was very obvious that the gang was Angelus' and he was brought into it, rather than forming it himself. So, I think as the audience we were privvy to some details Buffy was not. Or, at least, that's how I'm writing it. :P
I'm glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for taking the time to review it. :D
