I think it is good Spike and Drusilla talk and she does know there is another woman and that he will never love her the way he loves another woman. I think it saddens Drusilla but she accepts it. It is a pity she is crying for Daddy but then I thought she would poor thing shes just so twisted by Angelus she falls apart.

It's almost like this Slayer was enjoying her battles with Spike in his learning to fight harder and learn on his feet I was sad to see her get killed myself.
Spike seems to be caring for Dru like she was his sister and she on one level realizes he will never truly be hers cause his heart belongs to another. Hreat stuff this story is!

This reminds me of Pj's Playing on the Darkside in just how well it is written and such a firm understanding of Spike. I lived your romance between Elizabeth and William and how both of them loved one another against time. Lovely and dynamic story here I really want to see how it all comes together and if they ever get back together again.

Author's Response: I haven't forgotten "Falling," but I have put it on the back burner for now so that I can focus on this story. "Forward to Time Past" has such an expansive plot, it's hard to give it the attention it deserves if I'm also working on another story. As soon as this fic is finished, though, I fully plan to go back and finish "Falling" (probably give it a bit of an overhaul, too.) I'm glad to hear you like both stories. Sorry! I was out of town it seems on your last updae but wow 2 whole chapters for me to get caught up on I feel spoiled today. Ok this was so good he's learning fighting moves and has his own honor as a fighter and he's finding his way to become a master vamp in due time. I knew Angelus would turn up cause evil is always on your tail when your a vampire. I'm almost afraid for Spike and then maybe not sieeing as he has had a few successes I don't see Angelus getting the better of him this time. I do wonder though if Dru sent him word where they were at.

Great chapter. I really enjoyed you description of Spike's almost subconscious respect for Emiliana and the sort of relationship that they developed. Not romantically, of course, but they knew one another, looked for one another, and their interactions with one another surpassed the basic "I, Vampire. You, Slayer. We fight? Neato" that is expected. Every chapter sheds a new light upon Spike to explain how he's become such an unconventional vampire.
Angelus coming after them? Not of the good. Looking forward to more-- and when I say that, I mean, like, checking every day several times a day just for this fic. I love it. I think I can safely say this is the best fanfiction I've read, and I've been reading for five years or so.

A non-canon chapter, and all the more interesting for it; you allow Spike and Dru to escape the confines of Angelus's 'household' and spread their wings and sharpen their fangs in Italy. Italy, where he had once upon a time proposed to bring his mother and Elizabeth. Instead, he encounters the Slayer and they fight but he is unable to best her. Spike uses this defeat as a lesson: his battle edge needed to be sharper, and, for all his demon ways, there was still William within him as he respected her and her Calling, her warrior status. So when she is felled by the careless swipe of a demon, he mourns her; the passing of the Chosen One, and not in the manner of a fair fight as befitted her.
And then Angelus shows up. Bloody hell, what now?

You are good because this story makes me emotional. Seeing Spike with Dru *big sigh*. Dru knows more again. Maybe including the stuff that will take place in book three. Miss Edith talks too much.
Loved the description of Spike's fight against the slayer. The D/S part not so much but you know that. So the slayer is gone now; looking forward to more, where they will go now that Angelus is back. And what will change now in their little family. I guess Angelus wants to take the lead again. But will Spike give it up?

Wow, wow, wow....and wow.
When I think that you can not impress me more... you just go and do it. When I think that now I want you to jump forward and have Spike and Buffy meet again. You write a chapter like this... that is so great an well written that I forget everything about my previous wishes.
Thank you for not letting Spike kill the Italian slayer. Their encounter was just perfect. He´s not good enough to kill her, but he´s good enough to fight and learn. And they fight many times. I liked that. And that part of the story was great and so very logic with the canon Spike.... Even the mourn of the slayer when she dies in such a "dumb" way.... by a demon, just because she got distracted.
The details in your story are fantastic.:
1 Giving Miss Edith to Drusilla...
2. Her second sight.
3. Trying to love Drusilla because he knows his Elisabeth would never love what he had become... Waking up with dried tears on his cheeks.
And then the end.... Angelus´s ... "Daddy´s home".... Perfect ending.... cliffhanger....
Please, please update soon. I can´t wait to read more....

God, I really am enjoying your story. This chapter was beautiful--loved his Italian fantasy with Elizabeth and the accounts of his battles with his first Slayer. Really nice job. Never am able to contain myself for chapters to come.
