I read this and found myself thinking of Angelus and Spike on a couch and the phrase "Chilling like a villain" came to mind and I had to have a laugh over that. Intense and dark and well you didn't make it unbelievable in the killing scenes. I was scared and chilled but not grossed out. You show just enough and know when to stop and then turn around and show his William emotional side. I'm not sure I can say it enough how much I love this epic story.

I dont know if Iliked this or not (((giggles)))but book II has got me curious as to what he will do now with all this power and strength he has will he continue to destroy himself or will he throw himself fully into becoming a master vamp with his new disfunctional family. Thing is you should feel creeped out with what he does and I think you really have pulled this off in showing his need for revenge and this other force now inside of him.
Wicked good story!

I keep forgetting Angel is more Irish in his accent then in those times and the song singing in the torture part was creepy in that he was like a 7 dwarf almost whistle why you work sort of way but I do love how you write this it blows away other story tellers sorry but I am a fan I must say these things

Wow he almost raised a hand to Drusilla in rage but didn't from their sire/child bond. Dru seems to be pushing him to not hang on to the past and just be with her. I was sad to see the book bite the dust but it is probably a symbol of who he was and is just not anymore. I like how you make him dark but you dont have him cross certain lines. Maybe he will find a new way to be or they will leave England. I dont want Drusilla to find the ring I know its wrong to say those things to a writer but lol I cant help myself I as a fan want the ring to stay pure.

Well that was a bloody awful mess to bring home I can see why A. and D. are ticked off at him. Sort of like at first it was amusing to teach him to kill but now he's going over the top and beyond with his revenge. William is sort of like in a teen phase where he wants acceptance and at the same time rebels on his elders. He is sort of stalking and enjoying his victims fears now. And his only real joy he has is when he's torturing the ones who picked on his woman. I thought what Dru said was interesting that William was in a tree and she wanted him to join them sort of like William is a little above them and separate in his nature from them. Maybe he is drinking so heavily to make his mind fuzzy so he's not thinking about what he has done or his painful memories of Elizabeth even to go so far as promising himself he would not spend another night brooding over her. I wonder when Williams head and anger clears at Dru if he will realize what she said about Elizabeth about him holding on to another woman's memory. And his shock at the feeling of losing Elizabeth all over again with losing one of the small things he still had of her. At this point I don't think he knows Dru tends to see the things you try hardest to hide but I do hope when he figures it out he hides that ring in a place very far far away from where his new dead-life can touch it.
In his own way I think Angelus wants to be friendly with William and has pride in schooling him into evil an can sense something underlying in the importance of what just happened with Dru and William fighting over the book he even sat down to speak with him. I think Angelus is only saying and directing him in ways a master vampire would in get over being a human your a vampire now and get over it. And pointing out the girl he loved would not love him like this and William fully realizes it for the first time. I thought it was really good you had this conversation happen because now William can move forward.I love reading this it is always exciting to see where William goes next.

This is a long fic but you never notic it because of hoe fast you read it to see what Elizabeth and William will end up. I really like this in becoming a vamp tale it is awsome! Please more!!!!

Oh gosh when William goes out fo blood he goes out for blood. Really a lot of stuff going on here I was sad to see Elizabeths book destryed cause it was the only thing besides her heart she gave to him. It looks like William has been busy killing off 8 of the people from his town with spikes I kind of wonder when the Boxer Reb. and all of that and William discovery slayers . I an ancious to see what you have in store for us.

Author's Response: The 8 people the paper referred to were William's servants, so, technically, he was being held responsible for Dru's actions. Although, being a vampire, I'm sure William is doing his fair share of killing as well. Thanks for the review. :)

I never did like Darla hear forehead could make a good pin cushion. Is he singing to not think about the things he is doing?
Angelus seems to notice Will.'s depression though he does not ask about it just doesn't want to be bothered with it. And Angelus giving a self esteem pep talk is scary! I just had to say it. This is geting kinda dark but then so is Will. I cant wait till you have more

Really a interesting song! Where on earth did you think of this? I know the piece and I thought it was perfect for the story. It's great in how you always tie in one thing that makes the story pop with little perfect touches. You always surprise me when reading your work. I wonder what else the moon and stars are telling Dru about William and his love for another woman I sort of wonder if she knows shes alive and not dead. Cause if he knew she did not die and was out there it be hard for him to take I think , thinking that she was not dead and left him because of other reasons and knowing Dru she could feed on that.
Anyway I love this and humbly beg you for some more.

I think staring at where hi reflection is really showing how lost he really is and how he does need to find out who he is now now that he is no longer human. Angelus seems proud of him the more and more evil he becomes. It is true though and something William does has to face is that his Elizabeth would not love the moster he has become. I love hoe you are telling the downside of becoming a monster and the personal costs it takes on you . You make it so he is aware of the parts of himself he is losing in becoming a creature of the night. I was impressed with how much you put into his torturing scenes and you were not afraid to really show what being a vampire has done to him. It's very brave to change him when everyone wants him to stay humble and sweet.
