was a little shocked she'd crawl into bed with him to apologies but it does so fit in with the Buffy persona and her wanting his forgiveness and her trying to show him her affections for him in her own way. I think it was dead on he'd have to be a little tipsy to even allow to happen, happen because of his *fastening up* all the time and sense of propriety. It too would make a great deal of sense for William to believe she had fears of marriage and that would be the only reason she would turn him down. With his views on how shy a young woman would be in those times plus in his state he would not remember that she was not a virgin with his own lack of experience in that area as well. I just hope he does not notice a lack of anything on the sheets at a later point in time.
Looks like a tragedy is coming involving his Elizabeth and his new found happiness may be ripped away I was reading the other reviews here and wondered myself if she will fall and then get pulled back in her own time or seem to die in this time and William would be in despair and get caught up with Angel and Dru. I can see him losing Buffy and then his Mothers sickness leaving him with no one in the world so being turned would be a blessing for him and Dru taking him under her wing. Ok I'm running way too many hypothesizes but then again lmao I just will not know till you add more to this great storyline.

Very good chapter but then they always are with your writing. The complete and total awe after sex moment with William was very sweet. So much goodness here that I will just get in line here with everyone else and beg for more.

Too beautiful! I loved the work of the poems mixed in with the telling of the story here and the one at the end leaves you with a eriy feeling. I'm on pins and needles for your next chapter in this.

I've just read all 25 chapters of this wonderful story you are sharing with us. This chapter was so beautifully written. Heartbreakingly so. Because we know Buffy will be yanked back. I'm so glad she's able to tell him how much she loves him. He is so deserving to be loved. At least he will have had some real true love and happiness before his life gets so terribly twisted, unless it doesn't and has a happily everafter. Somehow, I don't think that will happen. This chapter was so beautifully written without going way over the top. Looking forward to your next update.

It was heartbreaking to see Buffy's remorse in hurting William in her making it seem like she didn't love him and that is was only her personal fears about herself and her future being the only reasons she'd turn him away. I really thought it was so well written how you made him only half aware of what was going on I think it really worked for Elizabeth with him being drunk so all of his inhibitions were lowered a little so she could touch him and love him.

I especially liked the part where "her fingertips brush across his chest, across his heart, as if she were trying to pull out the hurt" This so reminded me after Spike got his soul back and him trying to cut his own heart out it was a perfect William - Buffy moment. And then his "Don't"like if she slipped away in that moment it be like all his other dreams where she says she loves him and then slips away like it happens in all good dreams. It was good she finally told him something about herself and her fears towards love and you showed Williams acceptance of who she is, and who she will be in his life, history or not he loves just her for her. Not a slayer not a protector not as someone else hanging on her skirt needing her care he loves the girl she is.

I wonder if it is a good thing to love Elizabeth so blindly for when he does see her and everything she is I wonder what it will do to him as a person. I mean Buffy knows what he becomes and does not tell him. She knows he will die and become a demon and so many other horrible things he will do once turned. He will also learn he was not her only lover r even her fist lover that too is a huge betrayal between two people who are lovers. It is so easy for Buffy to get caught up in the now cause it is like for her to be finally leading a normal life and to be able to love without restrictions but and there is a huge but there just like all magic and real love is a magic there will be consequences. I'm curious to see if you marry them before his turning or this vanishing thing or horse thing happens.

Some cataclysmic event is coming in their lives and I don't think anyone will be the same after. The poems really tied in well the mood setting for the first part and then the other for the events to come.

Really this is a the most thought provoking romantic story I have read here in a long time.

Author's Response: What a nice thing to say, Kalahara, thank you. :) Buffy is so desperate to protect him, to keep him removed from the slayer world, that she doesn't want to risk telling him the truth. At the same time, not telling him the truth puts him in a certain amount of danger. So really, she's walking a bit of a tight rope here. I wish I could talk in a bit more detail, but I'm afraid I can't, or else I might give away some plot secrets. Just know that I love receiving your reviews and I am so glad you are still enjoying the story. :)

I'm never disappointed in this story and every posts better then the last. Trouble is brewing and some sort of Buffy accident is coming we just don't know what yet. I feel like I'm watching a really good episode and dying to see nexts weeks previews lol. Lovely work on this the first love/scene was perfectl set.
