It might sound like hyperbole, but seeing a new chap. made me happier then finding out the new Harry Potter is coming out July 21. Oh, but I am afraid that there might be a day Anne insists that Buffy gets thrown out of the house (which kind of reminds me what happens at the end of season 2) What if Buffy does something that she usually does, like saves someone, or just goes out again to fight vampires, but where before she gets labeled a freak, she gets labeled something else in Victorian times. But thanks for the new chap! I can't wait for more!

Your William is so lovely. He's taken the incident and turned it into a wrong he's done. I loved his anguished musings on the train, especially this: "To say it was a mistake or an accident was dishonest; he knew that. And much as he would like to, he could not shy away from the reality that he must have been somehow terrible to her to make her believe she must service him in that way." This chapter flowed beautifully, although it hurts to have them both in such pain.

The scene between Angelus and Buffy was frighteningly brutal and vividly written. It's interesting that William has some sort of psychic connection to Buffy. Another excellent, vivid chapter.

He's sort of replaying his eye even with Buffy in his head into his fantasy. I cannot help it I think he is so sweet. I really liked in this chapter you see how even though shes still making mistakes Elizabeth is really trying and you see William now is the one having the problem of holding himself back.

Does William see that Elizabeth had the same intense worry and fear he had for her and had to get back as soon as possible to see she was safe. I hope so for then he would truly understand why she put herself at risk for him. Sweet little love birds!

Got a chance to get caught up today and just love what is going on with the struggle for love and the struggle to make it all work out. I also think it says alot about Will that in his day dreams of her there is a over whleming side of innocence in his feeling for her. I mean if a guys only sexy thought was of having his girl touching him to see if he was ok and no being able to resist her lol I say that's pretty tame to what Spikes would be lol!

Author's Response: Very true. His lack of experience means that even the smallest of caresses has a good deal of significance for him. Poor boy is so confused right now; his natural reaction is to seek her out, but his moral teachings tell him not to. We'll just have to wait and see which wins in the end. This page has me wondering if Ann will speak to Elizabeth about if* she were a lady of the house and how to prepare for it . With Anns failing health I can see she would want her son settled before she passed on.

Even his fantasy of her isn't so bad I mean it just it shows his fantasy is of her having tenderness towards him if seeing if he is hurt. I feel badly for him cause he is feeling such guilt and feels there is something terribly wrong with himself for wanting her.

Now he has Buffy, a walking reminder of just how desperate he really is for physical affection. He's going to have a real fight with himself before he decides which will win--his conscience or his natural instincts.
