It's cute to see Buffy trick William into wanting to go with her and Buffy's dislike of Cecily and her knowing of Williams crush on her but the woman but knowing his feeling for her were more. And then thet both were checking each other out. I really hope we see more of the actual ball and get a dance scene. I really dig the old timey geel of this story it makes me think not all romance is dead.

I find Elizabeth not knowing things and William explaining them so endearing and him filling in her dance card and him realizing she wants him to dance with her was such a sweet moment. And he wanted her to be pleased with her dress so she felt she fit in. Love Love Love this fic.

There is much intrigue wrapped up in this version of William each page you get a little tidbit about him. From wondering if Anne picked out Buffy on purpose for William for some secret reason and "Yes, she's nice Mother" in a sad tone makes me wonder if something here is going on like he needs to be married or something and Buffy will do? And then too he's always hot, Ok now sure Spike is always hot but I mean in a different sense here. And what went on with the family friends that the Mom there doesn't like him. Lots of little things make me wonder with him to the point I'm almost taking notes. Hats off to the writer on this for you hve me guessing.
I give this story a 10 out of 10 everyone should read it.

I got behind not 1 update but 2 but it made it extra great to read both together. I get a laugh every time Anne notices Buffy and William getting along I think she hopes that when she dies that she will know William has someone. Love your work and I so want to see the ball now.

Awwwwwwwwww I'm glad they discussed the bracelet and Buffy wanting him to know she loves it. I think it's good for him to see she likes him for him. I don't think I've read a fic before where William plays a piano it was a nice touch and set the storyline perfectly.

Author's Response: The idea for the piano came to me when I first heard the song Standchen. It seemed like such a perfect song for William that I had to include it in the story.
