Im glad Buffy is going out and getting answers out side of Giles and away from her friends. I couldnt believe they were all sitting around discussing her tests and stuff like she was a episode of a tv show I would take off too if I was in her place.
This talke with Angel with help her close the door on their relationship andd help her find out if she wants one with Spike/Will

I think Buffy will have to come to terms with the fact that William had dark thoughts (as we all do at one time or another) and it was the lack of a conscience, not the lack of a heart, that led him down the paths he took. I went and reread this from the start today and I have to tell you its my most loved story of this site and that no other story holds a candle to it.

But what about Spike’s eyes? Those blue eyes watching her dazedly, worshipfully, as he drew her up onto his lap. Half-closed as he murmured in a voice that was almost desperate, telling her that he loved her.

It was definately a weak in the knees moment

Author's Response: That was one of my favorite lines to write, as well. Spike's expressive eyes are so beautiful and such a unique part of his character, I don't think Buffy could fail to see the similarities between him and William. Thank you for the review. :D

I liked the dream at the beginning it sort of show Buffy that Spike was in a way defending her honor when she just disappeared like William was turned and maybe that even being turned evil he still was her William and he wanted to protect her memory. Either way Buffy is now on the road to deciding what she wants and not hiding out at home wishing she could go back in time.

LOL see I never thought Angel had much of a soul or conscience to lose to begin with. So being turned wasn't so much of a leap there with him. So the real question that Buffy wants to know from Angel is did he lose the ability to love in being turned into a vampire and if underneath it all he is the same person as before. This is a huge leap for her and I'm loving this part of the story. The opening dream sequence was excellent and I still think that William and Buffy meeting and the whole time jump is their PtB destiny and their meeting and falling in love was their meant to be destiny.

Angel always killed for the fun or sport of it or to please Darla and he enjoyed it. Spike became a killer {in this story} because of losing the one woman he loved and then killed off those who opposed them that is not the same thing by any means. Please Buffy go home to Spike pleaseeee

God, those were his eyes—and the way he moved against me—the way he spoke—it was almost exactly like—
What if it was? Jesus, what if it was him? How could he have done those things? How could he have hurt Anne, when all his life, he had done everything in his power to protect her?

Yes! Yes ! And Yes!!!

I liked her finding that page from the book and questioning herself on her own thoughts. Now for the trip home and a little talk with Spike......

This made my whole day!

The Scoobies make me wanna punch a monkey but I cheered with Buffy taking it upon herself to go out and find Angel to compare and challenge what she knows on vampires outside of what Giles has told her.
