Wonderful chapter Nice to see Lorne show up as host and the food sounded divine.....Lets really hope this the turning point in their relationship and Spike stands up to the peer pressured and gossip and Show Angel and co thaty he's not bothered what they say because he's got something worth fighting for....

Melts into a puddle of Spuffy goo, this was just so romantic and really puts me into the "Valentine's" mood coming up. I loved reading this magical chapter filled with promise of new beginnings and better memories. Truly, Spike is a man who has left the "playboy" image behind, having sowed his wild oats he has learned the difference between lust and love. I can only hope that Buffy gives him the opportunity to learn how to be a better man for her. He has much to answer to and this is an apology and a promise worth taking note of . Great chapter, thanks so much for the romance.

i loved the past few chapters...just getting caught up. i could imagine buffy's face when all of these wonderful things unraveled before her eyes. haha hopefully she looked more glamorous when i got my first pairof jimmy choo shoes (it was a mix between that look you get when you trip and fall and the shock of being proposed to). thisis turning out to be a spectacular evening for them both. great writing.

A weekend of just being together.....great idea and I think Buffy will at some point get him to realize pizza and a movie in jeans and tee shirt would be a great date as well. But then he needs to have her show him as well, that the money is not what makes her love the man........

My last review should have said "blanket" on the beach and that Spike and Buffy should just enjoy their evening without any heavy discussions. Better for Buffy to not come across as critical when Spike is making such efforts. Let her guide him on their next date and set up the scene for her to get to know each other better in the non-bliblical sense. Well - sorry for the lengthy reviews, just love where you are taking the journey of this bad boy.

`Bout time Spike started behaving like a gentleman and wooing a girl without expecting anything in return. I hope that Spike wears something equally breathtaking because a little black dress will compliment a gent's attire.

Spike is still learning proper etiquette for not over-doing a date night and I hope that Buffy is gentle with her approach about him falling into bad habits of trying to "impress". Perhaps Buffy can show Spike the next day a more dressed down version of a romantic date - picknik basket, casual wear and basket to lay down on a beach to enjoy being outdoors and each other without the fanfare.

Willow is a good friend for helping Spike and Buffy should just enjoy the night out with Spike without the heavy lectures or talk. Just a night of leisurely being together enjoying the ambiance of their surroundings. Actions speak louder than words and Buffy can make a point about being wooed in various other ways by showing Spike how and perhaps open up more to each other in casual environments.

Thanks for the quick update - loved reading it! Yay for the spectacular surprise.
