wow. really hope buffy has that talk with him soon. flashing the cash may have worked on dru and all the others but buffy just wants him for him. i know he means well and just wants her to have a great time but he has to learn that he can't buy her affections. he's been around gold diggers way too long. lol. loved it lots and lots. please post soon.

I like Spike reflecting on his past deeds trying to suss out why he behaved badly. Feeling like a motherless child......unloved and ignored really shut down his emotions and moralities to an extent. Buffy being practically fatherless is on the flip side of Spike's situation and they have a basis to fill the void in each others life. I wonder how Spike plans to cheer Buffy up from the scrutiny of their peers. Taking the first step to be thoughtful and caring to Buffy and not selfish and self involved is a good sign that Spike is pretty much over the fact that he has to be all things to everyone else with nothing left over for himself.

Great update, love the POV aspect. Really lets a reader get into the mind of a character. I understand how you must be feeling without internet at home. I live WAY out in the country and DSL isnt offered as of yet, so I can only update on my work days. Which can be really annoying when I want to write! Keep up the good work, looking foward to more!
