I liked this better than them sleeping together (and believe me I've never felt that way before - I'm all with the spuffy luvin! ) but I think Buffy is right, Spike needs to prove what's he's saying is true. More please.

Point Riley toward Drusilla's direction.....naw, that would just be cruel! Poor Riley, here he thought that things were progressing fine and then Buffy is all de-tach-y girl! But in a way it is kinder to not let him get in too deep in his hopes for something more from Buffy. Still, Spike is too assured of himself to have Buffy jump when he snaps his fingers for her. It is time that he take the first step in the kind of relationship he wants to have with Buffy. Glad that Buffy stood her ground and did not turn into Spike's little "itch relief" from his kiss. Better to make him believe deep in his heart that trust and respect are character traits that mean more than "image" in the long run.

Spike totaling his car deserves some parental concern at least to see if he is in one piece and to place consequences for reckless driving. Humility and having to earn his priviledge of driving again would be a good way to ground Spike so that he can reflect on his impulsive behavior.

Money can't buy love, friends, trust or respect and his dad may not want to overlook an incident that could have been life threatening. Great chapter, thanks!

Great update. I'm glad to see she's not going to string jackass along, just because that would be more trouble then it's worth. But I really hope that she doesn't just jump into Spike's arms now. He really does need to prove himself faithful and caring. I want to see what he does to accomplish that. Please update soon.

Good chapter. I am glad that they did not sleep together because they could fall back into their old patterns. I am also glad that they had an actual conversation. Hopefully, they will each take the time to get to know one another before they fall into bed again.

i like this twist..it gives them a chance to build something..they need to take the time inorder for Buffy to trust him...i think Spike was hurt by Dru but i think it really doubled the hurt by having it be his i guess you could say his best friend. look forward to more real soon..N
