ooooooo, may I suggest you then go and write the story you'd love to read. Authors write what touches them, what comes to them, the story is as they see it as. Please write it and post it....see how someone could take your type of reviewing as an attack and not constructive. If you don't like the story line then it might be a sign you don't actually like the story, just pointing out what you don't like about it.

Actually I hoped Spike choked on it instead....I don't blame Dru....in fact I hope she's the female version of Spike and gives him a taste of his own arrogant bullshit and leaves him on his knees crying about being used and abused....LOL.....okay next chapter please......

As hard as it is to read, this fic has definietly intrigued me. I would say it's pretty original in theme and plot. I'm hoping that these first chapters are necessary to build the rest of the story on, to establish Spike's assholeness before he can redeem himself. Which is a common theme in the ficdom. I myself have written a story that followed the same formula.
With that said, making Spike the bad guy isn't as common as a previous reviewer claims. Many stories actually have Spike being wronged by Buffy, especially in context of season 6. Also most stories, cannon or AU, have our fav vamp ass over elbow in love with the Slayer the second he meets her. And even if Spike is portrayed as the villain, made the bad guy, it's part of the Spuffy charm seeing someone change their ways for love. Isn't that why we all started to love Spuffy in the first place? Besides Spike's hot bod of course.
So after this long ramble, I just want to say that it's your fic jamesgirl, take it where you want, write it how you like. And most importantly, don't listen to people who can't be polite enough to just not review when they don't like a story.

um, how is this ever supposed to be spuffy? i don't think spike will be able to change. it would take a lot to get him to stop thinking like that and i guess i just don't see it happening. i hope dru cheats on him and reveals what a nasty whore she is.

Ok, I never imagined me saying this, but I can't WAIT until Buffy finds somebody else. Spike needs to get his ego shoved down his throat and realize that people aren't complete idiots. You can't USE them and just... asfkja;slfkjd;alwe I can't STAND him right now.

The funny thing is... that's the way so many high school guys think. Oh, they can't go out with THAT girl because of her reputation, blah blah blah blah blah. Idiots!

I really hope Spike hurts just as much as he hurt Buffy, if not more.

"Now that he had Dru, he no longer needed anyone else, including Buffy". Yes, "Now" is the word.

But I wonder how would Spike react after this "now", if all alone, without Dru in his bed, he felt the need to see Buffy. And how he would react if she decided to stay faithfull to her words in the last chapter "not anymore"!

I still hope a spuffy happy ending, but I think that Spike deserves a good lesson! He needs a kick where it hurts the most for him: his heart (however, I think he has one, even if he doesn't use it often, or doesn't know how to use it) and his precious reputation.

Justice is needed here ;)!

I hate Drusilla and I did in the show too. I thought she was an insane shrew. I could never, ever understand critics and fans who just worshipped her.

Okay, that said, I hope Buffy finds a real nice guy who is not ashamed of her and treats her like the queen sh is.
