Xander still has doubts and is ready to run.... magic won't heal that. Good that Xander noticed Willow's obsession with magic (to fix everything with magic) too.

They tried to blow her up? God, Warren is a demented little freak. The other two aren't that much better. I'm glad their stupid plan failed, I hope Buffy and Spike give the smackdown on their asses. I'm also glad Xander went through with the wedding. Spike should get major points for that. I still don't know what Willow's problem is. I thought she was over the use of magic at this point. Of course, I'm just thinking of the show. You could have changed that and I probably just missed it or something. Anyway, glad to see such a fast update after the last one. Can't wait for more=)

Author's Response: ROFL! They did! But what is important to note is, they screwed it up--like they are apt to do. Phew! Spike is definitely thinking he should get major points for keeping the wedding on track, but then his motive might be half the problem in the end. I haven't quite sorted out what's going on with Willow either, but we'll get there. 'Seeing Red' is only two eps away and really, Willow didn't know what was going on with Buffy and Spike during ehr 'down time' so to speak. So who knows what a combination of her having to give up the thing that makes her feel important so she can get Tara back with Buffy taking up with a soulless Spike would have done to her. I'll likely have a Willow-centric chapter soon. I really don't write much Willow, pretty much because she's the character in the show I can't stand, but I'll try and keep it realistic. I'm already working on the next chapter so hopefully before the end of the weekend it will be up.

Loved Spike playing the counselor for Xander (devil's advocate). Opened his eyes a bit, huh?

Aww, male bonding. Who would have thought that Spike would be the one to talk Xander into marrying Anya? I'm glad he did, though. I really hope they go through with it, that's something I wish would have happened on the show. Good chapter, can't wait for more=)

Author's Response: Spike does have relatively misguided motives, LOL. I never understood why the show split Anya and Xander up. In my mind, it really didn't serve any plot development. I guess they just didn't want to change the dynamic of the Scooby group.

Willow isn't okay with Buffy being with Spike? She screamed at Spike and hit him? No, not very accepting indeed. He still has the chip and couldn't defend himself.
I'm glad Tara stayed with Buffy and talked to her, making her feel better. Willow has to get a grip. She should be glad that Buffy found a new love; she's not acting as Buffy's friend like she was till now (and still is I guess).

sweet chapter. It's interesting how you're shifting the threat of potential evil off of Spike and onto Willow. i can't help but feel a little worried about why it's so "quiet upstairs..." Spike IS vulnerable now, we all are when we reveal a truth that our loved ones don't want to hear. I always found it tiresome that Buffy's friends remained so stupidly blind to Spike's good qualities - it just didn't ring true after a while. But this makes sense that the sky wouldn't fall if Buffy told them and that Willow might go to a dark place with it. Looking forward to the next chapter!!
