The story was great. High on the naughtiness with just the right amount of angst. I also loved that it took place during the earlier seasons, there is far to few stories out there that focus on Season's 1 and 2.
And best of all, you made it believable, it fit well within the timeline and flowed so smoothly, you can almost believe this is how the show really went. (Don't I wish?)
I will admit the ending was a little choppy. It felt more like something that should have taken place in the middle of a story, if that makes any sense. It just leaves me expecting another chapter in a way.
But other then that it was great, i always love your stories, and I hope to see more Season 1 or 2 stories. *hint hint*
Author's Response: Thank you for the thoughtful review. I guess I'll have to take another look at that ending - although, I will warn you, most of my stories end as soon as I get Spike and Buffy safely together in a permanent way. I'm not sure why you feel staking Xander should have happened earlier - she really needed him to give her a good reason before she could do it. Perhaps I rushed through the time that Spike was away too quickly and did too much telling of what went on in his absence rather than showing it? Anyway, thanks for the comments and for reading.

That was beyond outstanding. I LOVED this story. The relationship between Buffy and young William was touching and brilliantly written and laid such a strong foundation for this story. Your descriptions of their reunion and relationship were moving and inspiring. I thought the ending was fitting and powerful. One thing to note is that the scenes where Spike attacked the school took place on 'Parent-Teacher night', not 'Back to school night.' Other than that - perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it. And, you are the first one to call the incorrect name to my attention - thank you so much! I guess I was channeling what we call those evenings in my school system. lol I will fix it immediately! *hugs*

Simply beautiful! Little William and the relation he established with Buffy was wonderful to read and I really really loved how you managed to include so much canon stuff into the story. Oh... thanks for staking Xander at the end, that was just so satisfying to read. ; ) Thanks again for this incredible story!
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it.

Author's Response: LOL You're the second person to comment on the ending, so I guess I'll be taking a second look at it to see if I need to add something. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you liked it.

Hey! Glad I'm able to read another of your fic :) Lovely story, got me hooked and stuck to my car for the whole day. Just a frank opinion tho, hope u don't count that as flaming, but the ending was a little weak.
I'm no good writer myself, but I think it simply didn't hit that 'poeticness' you aimed for.
Nonetheless, wonderful fic. Thank you for sharing!
Jen
Author's Response: No problem, hon. I would never consider a well-thought out comment or any other form of concrit to be a flame. I appreciate your opinion and will take another look at the ending. You may be quite right. The ending of a lot of my fics don't make me really happy; I don't recall right off the top of my head if this was one of them or not. Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)

What a great story, I just read thru the whole thing. I loved how they met, it was so sweet, and such a start of what would become a true love relationship. I thought that even in all those years, not only did he remember, but retained the "William" in him, and that Buffy brought it back. It was sad that she had to dust Xander, but it was necessary, her mate was threatened and quite frankly he deserved it.
Also it would a perfect setting for a sequel, (hint, hint) their life, their relationship with Joyce and Giles, and the the claim completed. anyway great story and thanks so much
Author's Response: LOL - no sequel planned ATM, but thanks for the lovely comments. :)

Love Joyces last comment oh well at least he can't get you pregnant.
So Spike is back, and claim Buffy, wonder what it will do to her life span.
Glad Giles and Joyce are ok with it, and good for Giles quiting the council.
Author's Response: Lots of stuff to think about and sort out - but at least they don't have to fight her "parents"
