I love this chapter. I like Buffy's flintiness with Willow - who I have a very hard time tolerating at the best of times. I really like Spike letting William's soul be free. On the otherhand, SPiek without a soul is an even bigger target for the SG hippocrits.

Okay Im going to do all my summation of what I think of your story here in the hopes that you check it, and also that I will tell you in my nxt review to look in the last chapter to see what I said...onto the review: First off, I am an early ATS fan and a Cordy/Angel worshipper as well as a spuffy fan so for me to actually support an unsouled spike is kind of a dichotomy since I DON'T like angelus...but yet, I do...and if anyone bothered to read the cordy/angel fiction they would find that the maj. of it that contained a buffy rel. was spuffy with an unsouled spike. B/c Spike is capable of love and his demon and human have melded in a way that angel/angelus never did. And while buffy/angel never worked b/c angelus hated the slayer...the demon in spike somehow doesn't have that prob. So I supp. the unsouled spike. As for S7 of BTVS here is my view on what SHOULDN:T have happened. Dawn/spike shouldn't have had that continous animosity...I liked their bond. i hated giles by the end of the show. And your story isn't putting him in a good light. Sorry it's a long review but wanted to tell you what I thought rather than just post it out in several!

Squee!!!! *does fangirl dance* I got the email that you had updated and I had to check it out right away! Loved, loved, loved your interpretation of events. The moment when Buffy realized she was mimicking her actions when she beat Spike into a bloody pulp was so moving. I loved how you linked it back to her promise of not forgeting his actions in Intervention. The incredible moment outside the door at the vineyard, when they got closer and closer to kissing, was INCREDIBLE! Awesome UST culminating in the kiss to end all kisses. *swoons* That was sooooooo worth waiting for. As was this chapter! Thank you, thank you, thank you for updating this story! I can't tell you how much I love it.

That may have been a difficult chapter to write, but it was a wonderful summation of Empty Places. That episode was really just a set up for Touched, so I can see how it must have been difficult. I really did enjoy how you adjusted the conversation between Giles and Buffy to fit your version. Typical Giles. I am impressed that your Buffy actually remembered what she had said to Spike in Intervention and defended him to Giles. Great chapter again! Many, yummy cookies for you! I'm really looking forward to see what your version of the rest of the season is like!

wow. what a chapter. it's amazing how such small moments can be so powerful. the physical description in this chapter really sets it over the top. i felt like i was right there. thank you so much for showing the compassionate moments between Spike & Xander, and Spike & Dawn. i think those speak louder for Spike's character than anything he could ever say. can't wait to see if the gang still kick's Buffy out!

love, love, love the story! it broke my heart when spike chose to allow his soul to pass on to heaven. can't wait for the others to find out and see him in a new light. so intriguing to see that a souled spike's actions in season 7 aren't much different than an unsouled spike. great story!
