False confession = means he lied, right? About the soul I guess. Nice plan.. Spike didn't think they are able to prove if he has a soul or not, huh? But he didn't tell about the chip that works like a soul (at last in the ways to stop him killing people).
Spike's feelings (showing in his eyes) convinced Buffy. But Jenny is suspicious. Well she knows how the original spell did function. The chip should have got Spike a free pass anyway but he didn't think of it yet. I wonder how it will work in the long run (or how long his plan will work).
It's a bit funny: Spike's ability to have feelings saved him, being a soulless demon, convincing Buffy he has a soul. If he had tried to convince Buffy that a soulless demon had feelings he would have had more trouble convincing her.

Oh that was too good, he says he has a soul, because he doesn't want them to know about the chip. So it really was Buffy's actions that had Angel lose his soul.

Wow...that was an unexpected twist. I didn't even notice a different. Spike really doesn't need a soul to be good, just like i always thought. He's my favorite character. Update soon please!

Well, 'Spike' certainly came up with an interesting twist, didn't 'he'? Buffy's going to owe him big-time while at the same time staking him for such a whopper. Looking forward to more, soon.

Giles did have some really good points, as much as I'd like to say he was just stubborn. Buffy's just to blind to see it... *sighs*
