Thank god Anne knocked some sense into Spike!! He needed a nice kick in the butt, making decisions affecting Buffy without Buffy. Sounds like something a certain broody character would do and I just couldn't take it if my favorite vampire left Buffy because of some phooey excuse.
I absolutely LOVEEEEE this fic. I can't wait for their real perfect night. I'm sure it'll be amazing!!! I just love this fic. Hehe. Can't wait for more!!!!

Do two more. One with the claiming and whatnot and the last like, fifty years in the future, to show how "eternity" is treating the love birds... :)

I can almost visualize Giles leaning against the trunk smoking (kinda like in Band Candy) with attitude and all. I was half waiting for Anne to smack Spike upside the head! And Spike?!?!?! I know I don't always review, but I must tell you this is one of my favorite stories........it is bloody amazing!!! You are articulate, detailed, and have great progression of the characters as well as the story. Your chapters are not short........something that shows in a seasoned writer, I don't mind cliff hangers as long as getting there is part of the fun, too many writers have very short chapters, I like to read and savor and not have it over before it has really begun, so bravo on that as well. You also have an amazing beta, IBE is great, so as your beta please tell her I also appreciate her contributions. So I look forward to the "claim", and I want to say great job and thanks

*Sniffs*, the a/n made me cry just as much as the tender reunion you gave Buffy and Spike at the end. God how I adored Anne's sharp tongue and Giles........... super funny, totally cracked me up. Buffy was justified in her rantings but of course I'm happy she relented to Spike's tactics of kissing some sense INTO her, giggles. A truly, superb A-1 chapter sweety. But Spike looks stunning too.
Oh my... I saw the misunderstanding unfold itself and them getting deeper into it. After Buffy took Spike's answer as rejection Spike could only dig him deeper in the hole he opened.

Lordy, how matters of the heart get all jumbled with the head interferes. Think she had a bad case of the pot calling the kettle black when she accused him of only seeing & understanding what he wants to. Really think it's her that's not understanding what he's trying to tell her. And, please Lord, let Spike stop Giles from taking her back to London. Lordy, this has me so on the edge of my seat, that I'm going to be haunting this place til the next updates posted. (BTW, I love Echoes, as well, and you're wrong. This story is just as good as Echoes. Congrats on the awards!)
Author's Response: That's so very true, how matters of the heart get all jumbled when the head interferes. Keep in mind, though, Buffy is very young, around 24-25 I think, and just got rejected, when she'd been absolutely sure that would never happen. She was hurt, thinking he just wanted to use her, which was an honest mistake, really. Spike didn't handle it much better, I think. I promise you won't have to wait endlessly until this is resolved, though. I hope to post the next chapter a little later tonight (Wednesday). Thanks for reviewing and for what you told at the end. *blushes*
