Wow! Even more reasons to hate Giles. Not that I needed them, but still... quite good. And Ethan Rayne? Is he the mysterious lover? I'm quite eager to find out. I'm loving Dawn in this story, she's so mature and I loved how she took care of Xander in this chapter. I'm looking forward to more. Excellent chapter!

Wow, I'm very curious now over who Giles mysterious lover might be and what the black case Mary found contains. I do hope it has something that will help them bring Giles down. I hate him more and more with each passing chapter. Great job, even if I cringed a bit at the violence, which I understand was needed to show us the depths of Giles deception. I'm looking forward to more.

Regarding your question of when we'll update the desk fic? Well, we want to have a few chapters done before posting. Tina has done her part, but my muse is being quite stubborn and keeps focused on AoI for the moment. I have what I have to write plotted, is just a matter of actually getting to it. *sighs* So, I just beg you patience.

Author's Response: i cringed over the violence but it was needed. i had to show just how low Giles had gone before i could carry on with the story. and Giles in the series was a thief (the clothes for joyce during band candy) and a murderer of humans (ben) Ethan also eluded to worse crimes and they admitted killing a friend when they were younger or at lest caausing his death more soon

Oh this kind of Council was never shown before. The way Septamus reacts (telling Buffy is the boss) gives me hope he'll help (can help). This looks very different... the Council never was so helpful. I wonder what changed that. ~ Septamus thought Buffy's ring was an engagement ring? Coming to think it must sure look like one. ~ Oh my, I didn't know the phrase either but not wonder that these words triggered Buffy's loss again.
And now they'll have books to research that are real (not changed by Giles' magic).

Hee, Septamus and Morgana most definitely seem like the kind of people they'd want on their side to fight against Ripper. I love how everyting is being set up and uncovered, slowly but surely and in a very logical way. I'm looking forward to reading more. *huggles* And thanks for the notice.
