Yea..another installment. The good news is Angelus and Drusilla are taken out...the bad is our Buffy is again in peril. Glad you are having them band together for Buffy's sake. Too bad the gem doesn't work on humans.

Excellent choreography and sharp detail made for a vivid, brutal fight. I was on the edge of my seat, unsure who would have the upper hand at the end. Giles' surprise arrival in the nick of time was a welcome relief, though I'm still anxious about Buffy's grievous injury.

Oh my god!!!!!!! I can't believe you ended the chapter this way. That's just EVIL!!! Don't let her die like this. Spike would never survive it and neither would I.
Leave it to you to do a twisted parellel to Spike's death in season seven. She finally says I love you and it may be too late again.
I'm going to pray you didn't want us all to be crying in the next chapter. Even though it would be poetic and tragic. I'm going to try to have faith that there will be a very steamy, happy ending next chapter. Just don't break our hearts, PLEASE!!!! Are you planning to have another Slayer brought forth? Go ahead and do that but don't let her be dead long.

Great chapter. The confrontation with Giles was perfect. I loved how Buffy went on a long tirade, and Spike's indifferent nonchalance was very entertaining. The beginning of the battle at the end of the chapter has me excited for more. Keep up the great work.

The confrontation was a lot more civil that I would have expected. I like that this Buffy can really hold her own with Giles and the gang. She's capable of making decisions and speaking her mind. It's a nice change of pace.
Angelus going after Spike's protection is an unpleasant surprise, and it makes perfect sense. Angelus would be unstoppable if he got a hold of it. I can't wait to see how this all plays out.
Author's Response: Yeah, this Buffy is slightly more independent since she had a more or less normal teenage life. So she's a bit more self reliant. And Angelus would definitely want the gem... Thanks for reviewing!
