Hey! Not fair!!! I was promised Spike back, yes, but you know I wanted to read the interaction between B & S!!! I feel cheated!!
Grrr!! But, it was still interesting to read. BTW, don't worry about longer chapters. If all the story is written with short chapters, it would be really weird if you suddenly had a couple of longer chapters. It's just that I personally try to write 3000 word chappies and I admire authors who write 5-6 thousands. But if your format is different, I guess it's fine too. I just had to get used to it. It is annoying if a chapter basically consists of one scene but well... the updates are at least quite frequent. :)
Author's Response: Hmm, I thought I said he would be back, but not till the very end. But to make up for it, the next three chapters will be: Buffy/Spike figuring things out, Spike getting another taste, Buffy/Spike talking. And yeah, my chapter length has been increasing (some of the first 10 were around 1200 words, and now we're getting to 1600), but I don't think it will jump much higher than that, unless there's a scene that just can't be broken up. Good first meeting with Buffy and Giles. *thinks* No I don't think Spike knows of Angelus being involved but maybe I'll mix things (two stories) up. if he doesn't know he'll be surprised. Otherwise Spike knowing them can be an advantage too.
