Seems what Buffy doesn't like is that Spike would work for everybody, just protecting her because he's paid (and that he could have been very well on the other side, trying to get her). Ah she said it: being a job. Good to see she's wrong :))
Wow, Hank lost a lot of money. I wonder what Spike will really do now (about not being paid). Buffy is in real danger. ~ Looking forward to more. Like what the phone call (Hank?) is all about.

I LOVE your version of Buffy!! I think she looks a li'l bit like Dawn. Understanding, fun and easy going. And it's cute to see Spike pretending not to care. Looking forward for next chapt!

you know, you're reading along, Spike is Evil, Spike is Bad, but we know the truth. Spike, in every incarnation, loves Buffy. I was so excited to see that you'd updated - I love this story. Oh she'll keep him - hell I'd keep him, Vampire or not. Very nice explaining and I think Buffy'll put 2 and 2 together and work out that the Spike's anklet is the gem. Really looking forward to more.
