Glad he found a place that was pretty Buffy friendly. He really is all about her, and he hasn't quite figured it all out yet. And his thoughts about meeting up with his old family, perhaps in need of a bit of closure, but he truly has become his own vamp... except for the fact that he's really Buffy's. :)
Author's Response: No crypt for this Spike, LOL. I never liked how, in the show, Angel got the cool little apartment and the mansion (not to mention what he got on his own show--but then, it was his show) while Spike had the factory (which was okay), a crypt, and the school basement. But it wouldn't really make sense for this Spike to live in a crypt, anyway. But yes, he's got to find a Buffy friendly place because he very much is Buffy's vamp. :)

Awesome chapter! Great reminder that their relationship began before she was the Slayer; that although their super strength enhances them as individuals, it's what they feel for each other outside of the Slayer/Vampire realm that makes what they have special. Love the ending. Excellent way to fnd out about the Cruciamentum.

I simply love everything about their relationship. They have such a level of honesty that really only came to play in the series after Buffy was first back from heaven before the wild sexcapades. And we get it here, when there is trust and feelings, but not a whole big actual muddled up relationship. Not that I don't imagine they will muddle up a relationship in the future, but now, they have nothing to lose. It's some kind of poetry, and I'm very glad that I decided to read this story. Totally in love with the story. Will totally be back tomorrow!

Not a lot to go on, but that sure sounds like Angelus. An ironic twist of fate there. In a universe where he didn't try to save Faith first, that he would end up killing her. Love how all these little things are coming into play. And the Nerf training was a nice touch, too. An older Buffy takes to the slayage with less resistance. Makes sense, good read on the character.
