Ah... so Angelus took the Mayor out because he would have destroyed the hellmouth. For once did Angelus something good but just because it was what he wanted (the result), everything else was a coincidence (doing something good).

It's a first I read about them encountering Anya fot the first time. Thanks for writing it, it was fun. The solution to the Faith-Angelus-Mayor problem is interesting but it makes me wonder things though... What I WANT to read though, is how S interacts with Scoobies. I hope it's comeng somewhere soon. Oh wow! I just LOVED this chapter! Loved the sexy bloodsucking, the way Joyce found out and sort of accepted her daughter was a Slayer and the part with Spike mulling over what he feels for Buffy and now the promise of a semi-date? Yay! Can't wait for more!

I loved this chapter. And I loved the pensive thoughts in Spike's head. Although there was nothing sexual about him biting her I will admit it was HOT!!
I absolutely loved this line: So little and light and sweet. But she’d be able to take anyone, anything that threatened her.
And if she couldn’t, he would.

Okay, this was just...wonderful...or fabulous or some other superlative. It's fun. It's well written. And so far it has a Buffy and a Spike with brains of their own and not on the autopilot of conditioning. No Buffy whipped Spike. No rigid, controlling, denying, violence automaton of a Buffy. They live, they breathe and so do all the minor characters.
*sigh of contentment and great joy*
REALLY, REALLY looking forward to the rest of the story.

Ok, so this is my favorite story I've read in such a long time, and I'm completely freaking out because you posted two chapters in one weekend and they were both absolutely amazing. I love this slow development of their feelings, it's so realistic and I just love it so much! I know I've said love love love a ton but this is a really great story and I hope your muse is able to keep up with the rabid and insatiable desires of your fans!

I thought it would be a bit disturbing for Buffy that Spike becomes totally lifeless but she's okay with that.
And not only Buffy missed Spike on Christmas when he wasn't around, Spike too. Has cost him a lot of cigarettes. Good gift Buffy chose for him :)
