Buffy noticed that Spike was running from her; she just guessed the wrong reason. She's indeed totally wrong.
But the conflict is already there.
I wonder how they'll work that out.

Amazing chapters; amazing story! Really. I love how you’ve reeled me right in. I’m rooting for our couple big time!! I love the dialogue between the two and also how you’re giving us so much insight into their thoughts and what’s going on in their heads. They want so desperately to be together, FOREVER, and I hope there’s a way for that to happen. Buffy is so addicted to what Spike does to her and how he makes her feel and I so totally get that. The way you write him makes me need to cool off in major ways. And we’re seeing how Spike really feels and what he wants. I do get a bit tired of hearing him say how he’s been with so many other women, even though it’s in a way to make her feel better about herself. I wonder if we’re ever going to see any jealousy on Buffy’s part.
I have to wonder, though, how Buffy is going to take it when somehow, inevitably, she finds out, whether it’s by herself seeing it firsthand or whether she hears a news story or something of that nature, finds out what Spike is truly doing before he initiates the rough sex she’s come to be addicted to. How he gets hot for her by ruthlessly killing. How would Buffy have handled things had she seen how he killed that girl in the alley? When she gets slammed right in the face with the true reality of what Spike is? I can’t see her being so okay with things as she is right now. You’ve written a Buffy who is introspective and kind so she’s going to have problems with him getting so hot for her by tearing into another girls throat and tossing her in a dumpster. How will she and Spike reconcile that. For me, that’s the last obstacle. I so want Buffy and Spike to find a way to be together just like she said in that tub. There’s got to be a way. I can’t wait to see what comes next. You’re truly writing a great story.

Yay, another chapter!!! And another very interesting development as well. Spike thinking seriously about turning her, Buffy sort of thinking about being turned...oh I so can't wait to see where these two end up! And I loved Buffy's adorable line: "I hurt myself having sex." I could hear her pout! Excellent job, and looking forward to more!

I'm really loving the 'realism' of Buffy being sore - even though it does put a damper on the sexin'. Just more food for thought about their relationship.

Hi! I got some sleep and now I'm back (don't have work today). And now I'm a little more coherent so I can tell you that I'm loving the little bits of the Buffy world you're throwing in - like Willow dating a werewolf, Giles' presence and the Harmony ref had me giggling like crazy.
I love the balance of light and dark too (not to mention HOT and sweet). Spike's nature is a problem, they're both aware of it and hoping it'll be ok. But there's some necessary trepidation, and even suspense that add to the hotness of it all.

And now there's only one more chapter before I have to wait for updates! Woe is me! :D
