Oh what a great start! I love England at this period so I will be reading the whole story :). I'm really looking forward to which side Buffy belongs... Vikings or British!

I'm highly curious as to who the other woman is in the boat....is it Elizabeth???? Being a man of the cloth (most likely vehemently opposed to warfare of any kind) William could only do so much. I'm surprised he did as much as he did! Great work so far and I'll definitely follow this one...*settles into a comfy chair to await the coming chapters*

Author's Response: William hasn't taken vows yet, but was considered useless by his brothers, so he was brave to try. you may have to wait a week for the update, but I will do my best

I LOVE this time period! I'm so glad you're doing a fic on this! It's very well written and I can't wait to read more. Nice that Tara is William's cousin. And yes, life was so harsh back then. Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: i research this period for museums and my husband writes histroy books on it, he's had 3 published!!, my favourite period:) life was tough, but i hope to show the differences between the saxons and vikings. enjoy the rest

Ooh, I wonder what will happen now that they're heading towards the Vikings home. It was courageous of William to try to save Tara, at least they're together now, it would've been much worse for him if he had to go through not knowing what happened to her. I'm looking forward to more.

Author's Response: poor Tara must be terrified as well, they would have been brought up on stories about what happened to Saxons who were taken

Thank you for your e-mail! :) It was sweet of you to tell me :) I saw your new fic yesterday, but I didn't have time to read it then. If I read a new fic, I want to have enough time to enjoy it, if you know what I mean ;) Not just rush through it....

Interesting start! :) Does it take place during the Middle Ages? So William is a monk, and Tara is his cousin, who will marry someone? But she doesn't want to? She wants to become a nun. And now the Northmen are about to attack the monastery. This looks promising!

Author's Response: plays at the turn of the last millenium so 1007 is near enough, and yes Norhmen= vikings, hope you enjoyed
