I found this first chapter/prologue to be a very good attention getter. I liked overall that you continued to have Buffy 'broken' in the sense even after she was removed to where she was held hostage.

I'll make a few theories of what could have happened, although I think Buffy was in the mental hospital but was not captured there. Though it is possible that like the Canon season 6 she was put there by her parents when she started spouting off about vampires. However I think Buffy is connecting that expirience with seeing her home again because of what she's gone through and her post traumatic state of mind. Or I could be wrong and the reason Buffy says no is because of an abuse that could be associated with the house. Very interesting. I've never actuallly been this into the possibilities of what could have happened in stories.

Great. Intense and compelling; a Spike with all the qualities, good and bad as first seen in Canon and which made him such a large character. Look forward to updates.

Wow. I like the way this was written. And the plot (premise / what I've guessed where Buffy was before she was kidnapped). Looking forward to more.

Wow! What a great beginning! I hope you update it soon, this is my new favorite story. I like the fact that Spike is evil but feels tenderness for Buffy...although he won't admit it.

Interesting story so far! There is a lot I would like to know but since this is only the prologue I'm sure all will be revealed soon enough. Excited to see where this is headed!

REALLY good beginning, well written, and with a good sized chapter, so many writers have short chapters. I look forward to your work and the next installment. Lots of possibilities....great job and thanks

Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, this was a 'good sized chapter'. Unfortunately the next ones won't be as long, around 2500 - 3000 words in most cases.

So Buffy was in the mental hospital, probably drugged up, when she was captured? Is that how they managed to get her? That would be an interesting and original premise. I can't wait to see if I'm right or if there was another explanation.
