Fantastic Chapter!! I"m so glad Buffy finally Manned up and said what she was feeling.

I. Love. This. Storey. Really, could you just re-write the entirety of seasons 5-7? Please? Your version is so much better than Joss'. You know, with the drama-of-the-good-kind and the main charcter actually having a backbone. It's so refreshing. :)*

The part where Spike compares Buffy to an angel was just beautiful. With all the fics I've read where the two of them have had a conversation about being in heaven, I never once seen that metaphor. I love it...wonderful job with that.

I'm thinking that either Willow and Xander are gonna apologize for being total asses, or they're gonna get another verbal smackdown. Either way, I'm good! Eek! Need another chapter soon! The way you described Xander and Willow here -- and new Adult-Buffy's reaction to their plot -- was really eye-opening. That's EXACTLY how it goes on the show! Pretty unique insight into the "intervention" aspect of it. :) Very awesome. Can't wait for more! And hope your writer's block is HISTORY. Sure seems to be. :)

This vibe I'm getting from this fic so far is, it may take Buffy a while to come around. But when she comes around, she *really* comes around. I smell a well deserved and long time coming ass-kicking coming Xander & Willow's way...

Please be brave Buffy, and stick to your guns about Spike. It was always so frustrating to see how Buffy, on the show, was so vulerable to their opinions and eager to please them even over her own needs. And then, when she really needed them they kicked her out her own house. I never really did get why she let them do that--how come they didn't have to hit the sidewalk and Dawn didn't get sent to her room (he/she who pays the mortgage has more rights than the free riders in my opinion)? And this scene brings out that same feeling. I can't wait to see how you handle this!

I think, and I'm hoping, that she's going to set the boundaries once and for all with them. And Dawn will be very happy.
