The kitten was an excellent present and will be a reminder of Buffy's Valentine present. It's no wonder Spike's frustrated, but asking for a "happy ending," pushing Buffy over the line she's drawn, could have been disastrous.

The adolescent slap fight was more like a pushing match, heightening both their over stimulated emotions, keeping them both close. Their proximity, and both worked up to a fever pitch, it's no wonder she just dove in for the kiss. The result was erotic and intense. I can't wait to see if she offers to ride in to work together any time soon. My guess is she's mortified and looking at anything but Spike in the morning. She's opened the door, though, and there's no way Spike is just going to let her close it again.

Here's hoping this prompts a break up with Angel and more intense, impromptu kissing.

The little slap-fest was like a foreplay of passion - bringing their inner most emotions to a head which Buffy acted on. It's safe to say that yeah, she's mortified at her behavior, but good things can come out of the bad, even if she doesn't know it yet, *winks*. And you're right, she has opened a door she can't close, thus next chapter they will have to talk. And yes, get ready for Angel to get the boot in a most hilarious manner, hee hee hee. Aww, Spike's gift was so sweet. :D And I loved the massage scene. ;) Spike and Buffy are really passionate people so the slappage didn't offended me one bit... besides how could anything modeled after the Ben Stiller/monkey scene from Night at the Museum be offensive... lol! Fantastic chapter!

Wow..., first off, the kitten? Awwwwww!! Really appropriate since Spike calls her kitten all the time. :D Best of all, it doesn't wither and die like flowers. *LOL*

Second, the slapping. *LOL* No, I'm not gonna give you a hard time about it. At first I thought it's a "light slapping" thing, then as it wore on, I did wonder if it hurt. *cocks head* Hmm... then the moment Buffy started kissing him, I knew that it mustn't have hurt... much. :D In fact it's a little like canon Spike and Buffy, punching and hitting each other in the abandoned house before she pounced on him. :D But since they are superhumans and these Spike and Buffy are not, slapping would suffice. *LOL*

Third... OMG!! You're evil!! :D This may be one step back, but it's one HUGE step back and I feel comforted by Buffy's feelings - at least she acknowledged that she wants him. I'm soooo sitting at the edge of my seat now. More, please! Fantastic chapter!!!1!

Personally loved the slap-fight. That is so entirely the kind of thing they would get involved it. Just too desperate to find some kind of physical way to convey their emotions... but the not kind of "physical way" that would solve their problems. And I love Sebastian the kitten. Kittens and laser pointers are endlessly entertaining. Hope they remember the kitten in all of their emotional termoil. Great chapter. Looking forward to the next.

Well, let's see, I'm a few chaps shy in my reviews so this is for at least the last 3 I think. WOW What a romantic weekend! That in itself should let Buffy know that the "stripes" are changing! I had to do the happy dance when she decided that a weekend with Henry far outweighed a weekedn with Angel (and of course, I concur -- Spike and Herny or Angelus.... for a 3-some I pick Spike and Henry every time!)

The star gazing and story telling was excellent, melting, very comfortable. And then there was Valentines Day. It started out well and Spike's gift of the kitty was inspired! Perfect! Then Buffy tries to be nice with her offer of a massage (damn, if it were me, I would of just asked him to turn over once I was done massage is cute little butt!) well, that started out OK, but then as per usual Buffy starts thinking too much. Gotta say though, Spike pushed the subject a bit too far with his insistance on a "happy ending." On the flip side, I wouldn't have wanted to miss the slap fest and the after math of that either (quite reminisent of SMASHED).

Buffy ending up in the cold shower was a very nice touch and her thinking Spike is all pissed at her "teasing" is great as well because, although I think Spike is disappointed due to Buffy's initial response, he also knows he pushed and cornered and trapped and played the game very close to what he would do with a one night conquest, so I think the majority of his anger will be with himself.

I already knew you were evil (but in a good way) and I expect once they calm down and talk about what happened, the steps will come easier and quicker, but.... it IS MURPHY'S LAW and I'd bet there are tons more that can go wrong with this plot (and I know how twisty muse and you can be). I'm thinking we're not through with a bit of Angelus revenge if and when our slappy couple get groiny! And the slappying - doesn' botther me at all - While I'm a firm beliver that a man (especially if he is bigger and stronger) should never hit a woman in anger... I also feel that there can be play fights and defending when attacked. This falls under the latter for me, Buffy slapped him first and he slapped back so all's fair in love and Spuffy! And, hey, what about all that PUNCHING (not slapping) that they did on the show - nope, I say slap away! Hugs to you darlin' and a snuggle for muse!

You're right on the mark with your assesment of their feelings after what happened in his room, they do blame themselves and that's going to help them during next chapter... a lot. Ah, indeed this is Murphy's Law, so a few more ups and downs, but we'll get there, to the spuffyness that is due all in good time, *evil laugh*. Yeah, the slapping was only light stuff, not an all-out hard palm to the cheek at all. Although I would think that Buffy would run... to another apartment. Waiting to find out why the "touch" is so bad.. And I can't say I liked the slap..from either of them.. but . maybe she will finally make up her mind that her years of celibacy needs to end..and define her feelings for him and her future.

And the "tease" hmmm.... only if you touch and feel and sleep , no sex I realize, with a guy knowing he has the hots for you and you for him..been with all the changes.. buys you gifts and expect him to not try to take it a step farther... If she were my daughter I would say... make up your mind.. do you want a relationship with this guy or not.. If not.. move out.. Harsh huh?

Author's Response: Oh yes, of course the making and breaking up corresponds to the correct men, wouldn't have it any other way. The slapping bit fueld what was really inside her to come out and of course sent everything spiraling out of control, but they weren't abusing each other anymore than they were during their martial art fight either. She does need to make up her mind, and part of that will be revealed in next chapter, or rather revealed to Spike by Buffy I should say. So yup - 2 steps forward coming up during the next posting.
