Happy ending? Wasn't he surprised by her low key reaction when he asked about it? It was clear she didn't know what he meant by happy ending. LOL. Never understood why men think Happy Ending isn't real sex.

Then ego much? He couldn't believe why she couldn't see he was the best for her?

Now the whole slap fest-I had one of those with my ex, but it was with fists. It went on for awhile till we started laughing at each other. Have to say he never hit me again. Always had a bit of fighter in me myself.

Guess a big old wall will be built between them for awhile.

So Liam reminded Buffy of Valentine's Day? *wonders if Spike will get her a kitten* Buffy was really caring when she notice him in pain. Should make Spike happy.

Breaking up and making up? I think that breaking up is for Liam so I hope these two here will make up again.

I know it confuses people and for that I'm sorry, but I couldn't come up with a good name for angel's dad other than Liam - don't know any truly obvious Irish first names, my bad. Oh yeah, he got her a kitten when remembering she lost hers. Things did go terribly wrong, BUT, it will help them come to an understanding next chapter, I promise. As juvenile as it seems…I just shouted “YES!” when I read that part about Buffy “breaking-up” with Angel. Just can’t wait for it to happen. Spike is definitely a woman-devouring-monster-no-more and a flesh-and-heart-filled man. I’m enjoying the continued character development.

My mind is a-whirling with future relationship stepping stones:
1) first comes friendship;
2) next, falling into “like”;
3) later, a charity ball fit for a Cinderella and her prince;
4) some genius concocted by your talented brain;
5) …and then, mondo-amazing love-making!

The times Spike catches Buffy in her gray/in-between moments are increasing. I’m looking forward to Angel’s reaction to “losing”-out to Spike and seeing if that sets our couple back a bit. Hopefully, Buffy will see that a tiger can change its stripes. Great chapter, yet again!

Buffy is warming up believably, and her hesitation is understandable. Spike was a womanizing ass, it's difficult to adjust to this new, improved model. She's right to wonder if he's playing some new game to get into her pants.

The star gazing huddled together under the electric blanket was very romantic, and I love how comfortable and companionable they are. Here's hoping this companionable trend continues. It's a delight to read.

The marathon television watching was low key and lovely, bringing them closer together believably. Buffy finally opening her eyes and her heart a fraction was just lovely. Spike's feelings are genuine, and his friends first, then lovers plan seems to be working.

It's a very entertaining courtship.

Yay! What a great chapter. I can't help thinking that the moment something really does happen between them Buffy is going to royally balk and claim he's the same old Spike. Ahhhh, fun times ahead. OMG! That was an amazing chapter. Sorry it took me so long to get to it. But I loved it. And their kiss at the end was so absolutely perfect. Spike's actions in this chapter went a long way to redeeming him. I'll be very interested to see how much of the evening Buffy remembers and what her reaction is.

Another lovely chapter. I think you've done a wonderful job of really fleshing out the characters rather than just pitting them against each other with their wanton lust bunnies.
