My mom thinks Henry is sexier than Spike, silly woman. I have only seen a couple of the episodes, but I've read all the books. Who Henry ends up with is a lot more interesting than on the show ;) Highly recommendable reading is Tanya Huff.

I think I’m going to start describing you as a relationship guru/ writing wunderkind from now on. This chapter was absolutely pitch-perfect in showing the reader where Spike’s and Buffy’s heads are at. The Blood Ties parallel was spot on for giving our “old-marrieds” (in behavior, anyway) a chance to discuss their “non-relationship,” even leading Buffy to some enlightening realizations about each other. I’m definitely not going to pass-up on a Thursday posting to see where this discussion continues.

2) Hangover-breakfast
3) DVD symbol ping-pong/ATARI on black (from Buffy marathons)
4) Notboyfriend!Angel admission by Buffy

Since your tales are always so epic (rich, long, etc.), I’m not sure if I’ve forgotten or missed what kept Buffy out of the dating scene for 9 years. Did I miss who/what lead to that hard-shell that’s slowly cracking? …because it’s not Angel.

Glad you enjoyed the BT parallels, that was Sotia's idea AND IT REALLLY DID WORK TO MY ADVANTAGE AS FAR AS GETTING THE CHARACTERS TO REALIZE A FEW THINGS. Oooops, stupid caps button, sorry. As for wht kept Buffy out of the dating game, that was in chapter 9 (A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words) - when she and Spike were looking thru her photo album and he came upon Riley's pictures. But she was elusive as to the reason, which, will be revealed when the time is right, I promise. THanks for the totally awesome review hon - hugs you tight.

This chapter has to be one of my favorites so far, if only because I'm a sucker for fluff! ; ) Awwww.... He's so in love with her and he has nooooo idea, silly fool! Same with Buffy; she's even more oblivious!! Can't wait til they come to their senses!!

Btw, loved the whole Cordy/Willy thing. I almost fell off my chair laughing, and thought it was so adorable at the same time.

what a great chapter, and I do love the comparison betweeen Vicky and Henry and Buffy and Spike. (By the way I LOVED Henry, and always wanted them to be together) I loved her hypothetical question, I guess we can all see what she is thinking about, and it gave Spike a chance to tell her the things he is feeling and wanting without sounding like a jerk.
