Spike get his comuppance? How about Buffy? Nobody likes a tease. Especially one that blows hot and cold all the time. Buffy should be mad at herself not Spike.

Author's Response: Well, Buffy said she was going to be at work for another hour or so - that's what Spike thought, but, as you'll see in next chapter, the man just has no shame. Ah yes, the family connection - that's brewing under the surface, one of those things that just isn't going to be revealed right away, but will make sense. Well, this is defintly a hoot and a hollar of a tale. Love the name and it pretty much says it all about their relationship not only in this tale, but in canon as well (at least in my opinion). Love the "melting socks" reference.

This was my Sunday catchup read of choice and I'm sure glad I picked it. I had forgotten how often you make me laugh while reading your tales. I chuckled at least half a dozen times per chapter making my 17 yr old eye me with concern (evidently he thinks I might be senile, looking a my laptop screen and chortleing away radomly -- if only he knew).

The hot tub scene with the "questions" really tickled my fancy and I wonder if Buffy was just being silly drunk, or is she really that innocent? Either way, I though it was great and can't wait for Spike to use his high IQ to teach Buffy some big words?!!!

I love how you throw all the other "worthless males" into the tale and Spike's reaction to them. He's so cute actually treating Buffy so much better than any other female he's ever "dated" -- See Spike, sometimes if you get to know them first, they're worth a second go.

So, I'm a little rusty on my reviewing and will hopefully get back into the swing soon cause that's part of the fun for me, read the tales and if I like them, review them and of course it's a big hoot if you get a response back too (kinda like the bonus part of a DVD).

However, I know your wonderful Hubby is back in town and you must make the most of that so I won't be offended if you don't respond. With all he does for our country, he deserves your undivided attention and full family time when he's here.

Oh, I love this! Completely hilarious and wonderful! My favorite part so far was Buffy locking Spike out on the balcony. And Spike was so naughty, to replace things in her suitcase... He is a planner, isn't he?

Wow. What a fabulous chapter. I love the fact that, even though Spike keeps going on in his head about wanted to get into Buffy's pants, he's actually being very sweet with her. And Buffy's thoughts about him being a 'pig' are getting more and more forced. It's a lovely slow progression that I'm enjoying very much.

Spike's little speech at the end there was perfect, because he really wasn't actually coming on to her. He just wanted her to stay there in his arms. Any indication of an ulterior motive in that moment would have killed it for me, but this was really well done.

Looking forward to them waking up in the morning.

Author's Response: He really is being very sweet to her, and the best part is he's learning from all this - whether or not he realizes it and it will go a long way on his road towards growing up. I prefer slow progressions myself, they just seem more realistic to me, so I'm glad you like that fact within the story. And you're right, he wasn't coming on to her at all, he simply wanted to relieve her obvious nervousness and it worked out well for the both of them. Ok, I was so miffed that I wrote this nice review when I read the story and come to find out it disappeared. Damn it~

Ok...first of all, does that cider vinegar thing work??? Cause I'm always on the lookout for remedies for the burning of the skin. Hell, I put Casper to shame, and it sounds smelly, but helpful.

And Spike is right. Studies show that infants who are deprived of human touch fail to thrive, as opposed to babies who get all the huggles and snuggles and kisses - you get the picture. As adults we don't think we need it...but we couldn't be more wrong. It was an absolutely beautiful moment (not mushy) and I think they're falling....at least into like!

Keep your hubby happy, I know you won't have any trouble doing that ;)

Ah yes, the human touch, so much more important than people think its ridiculous and Buffy has been without for a very very very long time - so it will leave an impression on her, *winks*. I get the feeling she's softening a bit - even if she does still have to act outraged when he is crude. Loved this chapter and serve Buffy right getting sunburn - if she'd just been a normal female and let the man rub suncream on for her (i'd jump at the damn chance!) she'd have been fine!
They were sweet sleeping together though.
Great job can't wait for more.
Oh and have fun with hubby - don't do anything I wouldn't.........which isn't much so have at it!! hehe

The comic and romantic timing for Buffy finding Spike had re-packed her bag couldn't have been better, and Spike knew it. He's already such an egomaniac, it's hilarious that Buffy inadvertently feeds into it. She's got every right to be angry, but wet, half naked flesh trumps her anger every time.

This made me laugh out loud: "Just breathe out of your mouth so you don’t have to smell him. Fat lot of luck that did her, now she could practically taste him!" Buffy can't win!

They're believably becoming friendlier and friendlier, and in between all the leering and innuendo, Spike is caring and charming. I really liked his impromptu speech about the tactile nature of human beings, and I bet it's going to stick in Buffy's head, too.

I can't tell how happy I am that you cracked up over the now she could taste him line - I personally thought it was hilarious, cuz it is true sometimes, you taste things even if you don't wanna smell them, LMFAO.

Aw! I absolutely loved that chapter, from Spike wanking off to them cuddling in bed! lmao! Words cannot describe how i am feeling right now! Poor Buffy getting sun burnt, never did the vinegar thing tho, does it really work? Will have to try it next time, not! Loved it, dunno how I'm going to cope for 2 weeks, but hopefully i will!
