Buffy was so funny when she saw Spike in the towel!! Loved how her lusty reaction made her completely maleable to why he repacked the suitcase.

Sunburn treated with vinegar? Never heard of it - but I will definately try it. (with a sideorder of Spike of course)

Loved the snuggly, sleepy bit! So sweet. And ofcourse - what happens in Florida wont stay in Florida - will it.

Wow, a rational suggestion from Mr. Horny.....yet, it does sound like something an intellignet player would memorize to put girls at ease.
They're like cymbals - inevitable to crash together and share the same space. Poor Buffy, LOL. I can definitely relate to the nasty burn.

This chapter ramped up both the friendship and the sexual tension beautifully. Spike's infantile jealous rage over the spa appointment was hilarious, and his seething at seeing Buffy all wanton and relaxed over the supposed sexual encounter was a delight to read. Her real explanation, and his immediate shift into leer mode was in character, but can't he see all his pushing and innuendo are getting him nowhere?

I guess not. Spike acting human and interested was going a long way to getting them closer, and then he tries to close the deal. Was Buffy hinting that she's a virgin? Maybe Riley said she was a lousy lay and she's been self conscious ever since. Either way, Spike needs to be more gentle, not ham handedly throw them together in the same room in Florida. His seduction technique may have worked in the past, but not on this long haul gal.

Spike's becoming more compassionate and sympathetic, but he has a long way to go. Being roommates, a kitten may go a long way as an olive branch once they have the expected blow up in Florida. I'm looking forward to more of Spike's romantic bumbling.

Eight days with your husband - congratulations! I'm sure you'll have loads of fun.

And you're right, they are slowly building a friendship - of course the UST is ever present, but that's b/c Spike has a ways to go before growing up more. He sees any little advancement as an opportunity for something else right now, but he'll learn, he will. As for Buffy, well, she has issues that stemmed from Riley, no doubt, but those issues will come out when the time is right. She just doesn't trust Spike right now enough to share everything with him - and rightfully so. I think you'll really enjoy the Florida chapter coming up. Yeah, Buffy will be upset, but since they will already be there, there's only so much huffing and puffing she can do about it too. Yup - 8 wonderful days with the hubby, I can hardly wait.
