I recommend you read some of dreamsofspike's stories. I don't know if you've ever read any or not. There are a couple of her stories, for example Belonging, that portray Spike as the tortured vampire, and Buffy as the one who needs to be redeemed.

I completely agree with you IBE. Again, which is why I feel that if the author does not have a problem with it. Others really shouldn't say anything cause it is only going to start something.

Part of the reason why I didn't blow up is because you have been nothing but respectful. You truly seem like a classy woman.

I can understand how my opinion may offend some people. Opinions can do that. But like I said, I stand by it. I will continue to stand by it until I see some AU stories where Buffy needs to be redeem. The more new AU stories that I see that has Spike a womanizer, ass, dick, jerk, and so on. Author's Response: I don't have a problem with people's views, not even if they clash with my own. Being able to see things from every perspective and angle outside of one's shoes helps me to round out and balance my thinking. It doesn't matter whether I still stick to one opinion or another, what's important is that I appreciate and respect all others - a personal philosophy of mine. I wouldn't try and dissuade or persuade anyone to my line of thinking other than to put it out there for consideration and what they do with it is out of my control. If you do choose to continue with ML, you can also wait until a few more chapters have been posted. That's always helped me sometimes when a story is difficult for me to continue for awhile. Though it's still more likely than not, not going to be what you're looking for, I can only hope you overlook what you don't care for about it and find some measure of enjoyment in it for other aspects. I am writing a story where Buffy needs to be redeem. It is almost finish. But I probably won't post it. At least not anytime soon. But it isn't the same when you are the author. I have tried so hard to see if an author wants to write a story like this or to find stories like this . I haven't had much luck. Which is why I believe what I believe. Men= Ass Women= Saint

The stories you listed I have read. I didn't see Buffy as terribly bad in those stories. Just a woman who is confuse. Not the same way on how authors make Spike. Where Spike is so mean that you don't want Buffy and Spike to end up together. Thanks anyways.

I didn't say that stories that Spike is an ass gets more reviews. I said that I have noticed that stories that do have Spike as an ass tends to get tons of reviews. There are certain authors and certain type of stories that usually gets many many reviews. Like you said Addie is one of them and HollyDB. Which is great for them. I just feel for those authors who don't even get nearly half of those reviews.

I agree with you that on the internet people have a right to express their opinion. Believe me. I am all for having the right to express your opinion. Good or Bad. But I also believe that if certain people have a problem with me or with my review. Which I still see nothing wrong with it. Then people shouldn't reply to my post. It really only makes me want to reply back and so on. So, to each their own I guess. Really if the author doesn't have a problem with it. I really do feel that some people are looking to start something. That is just my opinion.

First of all. I am not an Angel/ Buffy fan. So, why will I want to read those stories.

Second of all. I never said that Spike wasn't an ass or was a saint on the show. I am tired of people putting words in my mouth. If you want to reply to me. Please, don't put quotes in my mouth. I said that Spike really wasn't a womanizer. There is a difference.

And I agree with you. That part of makes Spuffy, Spuffy is all of the snark and sexual tension. That doesn't mean you have to prefer stories that are all about sex. Or where there is graphic sex scenes all throughout the story or a lot of sexual innuendos . My preference is that there are sex scenes but it doesn't need to be a whole lot. Not to say that I don't enjoy stories that have a lot of sex in it. It is just not my preference.

Author's Response: Sorry the stories I listed didn't work out, those were the only 2 I could think of that might have come close to what you were looking for. And I think cordykitten was just fab to put the links out there for where you can go to post a challenge. If you do, I'm sure somebody will pick up on it, most challenges get picked up and pretty fast too. That's great to hear you've been writing and are almost finished. Please don't shy away form posting though, it can be really scary to do at first, hell, I always have a huge case of the bundled nerves whenever I put something new out there, but it's a risk worth taking b/c I know some will enjoy it. So I encourage you to do so when you're finished and beta'd and all that. I enjoy the classics, I admit, but I wouldn't be opposed to reading your version of Buffy at all - it sounds interesting. It's hard, especially as an author, to come up with something original and you have an origianl idea that I think people would jump on.
