Oh my god! I didn't see that one coming. Poor Lorne :( I wonder what he did to upset them enough to kill him. Meh. Poor Buffy, too. Having those conflicting emotions can't be easy. She wants him and it conflicts with her job (both jobs), and now she's seen him basically murder on of her friends and fellow employees. I sense not-so-happiness coming very soon. Can't wait to read more, though.

You rock! The characterizations in this story are quite true to the series, even if you've taken them out of their ordinary surroundings. It's written so well, and I LOVE the epilogue. It's not sappy or schmaltzy, but it ties up everything. And I liked that Spike actually had consequences for his actions--some authors would have just abandoned the premise they'd set up, but you played it through to the end. It figures that Synder would be an evil scum-weasel traitor in any incarnation of Buffy. =)

OMG I just found the story for the first time and read all the way through in one sitting, even though I totally meant to stop reading and pick up again tomorrow, but I just couldn't!!!

WOW. Just wow. Really amazing story. Lots of crazy plot twists, but it all makes sense. Loved the sparks between Spike and Buffy.

Poor Fred! I feel so sorry for her. I believe she didn't mean to kill Giles. Poor Giles... but someone important had to die, it seems like.

I liked Dru, she was really interesting. Still not sure what side she was really on. Crazy Dru.

Lovely, wonderful, spell-binding story. Hope you're still writing!

If this is your first effort then I hope you keep it up. So rich in detail. Did sort of hope that Buffy lied about being on the pill and there was a babyseat in the car, but can't have everything.

Just love Gunn and Buffy together. Makes for fun jealousy in Spike.

Bad Spike for taking it out on Buffy. Means he will have to be extra nice to her later. More fun for us.

I understand Fred and Buffy talking about Spike, Liam and Dru because it furthers the story, but Spike was so firm about his privacy when he originally talked to Buffy it was odd. Odd in that Fred would talk about Spike's private business. Otherwise I understand how it move the plot along.

I think you have made my tummy flipflop and churn. So Liam is the bad arse in this. Spike must be really afraid if he just stood by and let this happen. You really went for the angst in this chapter. I'm so wigged out I can't even enjoy the moment between Buffy and Spike. Damn you are good.

Love Buffy being partnered with Gunn. Fred being with Xander. Interesting choices. Wonder if Xander really does know Buffy from somewhere. I just love Spike in every way. Giles being all fussy about not being in control is funny. Can't wait for Lorne to be around.
