Dru and Angel fighting off those vampires was very entertaining, and I love that Xander is protecting Dru from the shadows. His feelings for her could come in handy. Dru's mom calling Angel "Liam dearest" was hysterical, and Dru mercilessly teasing him lightened the emotional encounter with Xander.

I can understand Buffy's tumult of emotions. Her circle of friends has been turned on its ear. The evil vampires of her reality have been replaced by her best friends. It's no wonder she's agitated. It's lovely that the one thing she can depend on is William/Spike's complete focus.

Thanks for another entertaining chapter.

Buffy is definitely stuck in an increasingly difficult situation, and it's true that the only thing she can count on is William. So glad you're still liking!

Really enjoying this fic. I can't decide which way I want her decision to go. She's great with William, but she could be great with Spike, too. Spike's her equal physically and balances her Slayer side, but William's human, which opens up other possibilities, and she doesn't seem to be really in touch with her Slayer 'demon' yet anyway. Tough decision! Looking forward to more.

I was actually worried there for a minute that William was really going to freak out because they'd almost been caught, and use it as a reason to push Buffy away again. I was really thrilled to see that wasn't the case.

Btw, where does the chapter title come from? You usually say in the author notes, but you didn't this time. I'm always interested in that kind of stuff.
