I really loved the sad Spike that you created and seeing the hope offered first by Tara and then by each of the Buffys. Great story. I was also glad to see you wrapped things up in both time zones. Thanks.

Author's Response: Thank you! I had to wrap it up in the future timeline as well. It just felt wrong if I didn't -- wouldn't balance.

Oh I love this story! I've already read it a few times before over at Elysian fields, and it's one of the few stories that I've read multiple times, because it's just so wonderful!
The way you describe Spike's loneliness is just so moving, so oh...I always get all teary at that part.

There's this thing I've been thinking about, with the whole timeline thing...Where did the ring originally come from? I mean, the whole thing keeps going in a cycle, with Buffy getting the ring from Spike and then later on giving it to him again...but if Spike gave the ring to Buffy, but she was the one who gave it to him in the first place...where did it come from? Maybe the first time around when it all happened it was just Buffy's ring...or something...did that make any sense?
Anyhow, that's just a thing that's been going through my mind:P

Author's Response: Thank you! It's amazing that people would reread it! The ring s one of those time paradox things. I too visualized it the way you did -- that the first time around it was just Buffy's ring and later gets caught in the loop.
