Glad you found your chapter again (or rewrote it).
Heh heh Buffy is honest :) She hung up often enough on Spike lately.
Cute when Spike visited her that night. But he is still not telling he saw her. A bit of a coward, huh?
I wonder if he'll be at the other open mic night. And if he'll be with Drusilla there / at the party with Dru.

That was a bit encouraging, BUUUUTT , I still think he's going to be a butthead and hurt her . Probably not ready to leave his "Black Queen" yet. I hope i'm wrong and it's Dru who gets hurt, afterall I hate her!

Wow, Riley took it well. I was very nice about it (offering to be of help to make Spike jealous too). And that (making jealous) is a thing that will work if Buffy tries.
Spike lied to cancel the date with Dru? That should indeed give him to think that he felt the need to lie about it. The song helped even more.
It's a sad song but fitting for the story / the story fits the song.
I hope he'll talk to Buffy when he has thought about it. I will mean a lot for her to know he came (and even alone!) to be with her on her 'big' day.

Spike is really clueless though his dreams should give him a hint. It's like watching a train crash, you can't look away to see that things get worse. (reading the song, getting jealous, overreacting with Riley kissing Buffy, lashing out and hurting Buffy).
Well I hope at last Buffy will be honest with herself and break up with Riley like she intended too. Being the second choice isn't being honest to Riley and doesn't help Buffy.

I'm really enjoying this story. It's interesting to see Angel in the brother role, and I think it works well. Spike definitely has blinders on at the moment, but hopefully, they'll fall off soon.
