I really liked the inner monologue in this chapter.

i wonder wat buffy will say wen she finds out he is getting the chip out. also YAY im glad that he finally realized that he loves her. i LOVE this story and am so happy that u updated. i really hope that spike and buffy end up together and that buffy doesnt push him away. Hee! Peas! Fun battle. The image of both Adam and Giles looking at Spike in confusion was great. Looking forward to finding out how everyone reacts to Spike being all juiced up now - including Spike.

The soldier to the left continued to shoot at him. Spike turn to him with a scowl. “Watch the coat!” he ordered peevishly.

As soon as Spike began walking towards him, the soldier threw his gun down and ran away down the alley and disappeared between two houses.

“Heh, heh,” Spike chuckled lightly. Then, he laughed with abandon before it turned into a victory shout ...

It's times like these my dear that I can't help but love you for them! Predatory/KICK ASS Spike is always of the good! HEEHEE! More Plz! *hugs and smooches* L8R HUN!

Uh-huh... trouble on the way. Too clever of Adam to find them.
Spike's plan sounded good. They (he) would have defeated Adam. Not sure if he would have given the Gem back if Buffy asked him too. Time for biting my nails now?
