Sigh of relief... glad Buffy is getting out of Dodge.. although I assume Daddy will cut her off .. no credit cards etc. after he finds out.

Author's Response: Yeah, she definitely won't be getting any money from Daddy. She has some of her own money, but that will only go so far. More on that in the next chapter. Looks like things aren't going to be easy but good that she's away from that house. Thanks for the review! :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm dreading the job change, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I just hate to leave a job I love, but I really have no choice in the matter. Forgot to say thank you for your nice words about my friend. He really is sweet guy who had this terrible addiction. I am glad that he is doing great now. I just hope he never falls back on the drugs. He has come too far to go back.

He said he was what you called a multi drug abuser or something like that. He did everything but his main drug was Meth. That Meth is what he always wanted. So, he has come too far to go back now.

Author's Response: Wow, I am doubly impressed now that you tell me he was using meth. That's some rough stuff to get away from. I truly hope he continues to do well. Drug addiction has such a potential to ruin one's life. It really makes me smile to hear stories like that of your friend. I'll send positive thoughts his way!

I believe that too. I mean on the show Buffy is the reason why Spike wanted to be a better person. I agree with that. I don't know anybody who can disagree with that. But at the end of the day it was Spike who made himself a better person. When I read stuff like "Buffy made Spike a hero" I want to scream and say no she didn't. Spike made himself a hero. Saying stuff like that puts all the credit on Buffy. When really the credit should go to Spike. Buffy made be the reason why he wants to be better. But she isn't the one who changed him into what he is now. He did that. Do you understand what I'm saying? I don't know if I am explaining myself right.

So yes, a lot of people who do drugs change for a reason. Maybe, when they really hit rock bottom. Like in this story. what happened with Xander. Now, some people might have said enough of this and I need help. But others might feel so guilty and continue doing drugs because of that guilt. And that is the way Spike went. So, whether you have a reason to change or not. In the end it is going to be on you. You are the only one with the power to change. So, say Spike did stopped after Xander's death. Xander's death was the reason but Spike was the one who did everything he could to change. Not Xander but Spike.

Sorry, about me going on and on. It is just something that I am passionate about.

I'm still not 100% sure how I'm going to finish it out, but we're still a ways from the end anyway. Whichever way I go with it, I hope you continue to enjoy it. I really like working on this story. Aww poor lil Riley got beat up and went crying to Hank , boo hoo. I loved it , should have had her kick him in the nuts , not the ribs. Can't wait for the next confrontation, hope Buffy stands up to Hank to. but where's Spike gonna go now? update soon, i'm on pins and needles.

Oh :) That did indeed not go without some violence. But pissed off Buffy turned Spike on :) And maybe he (Riley) will listen to Buffy in the future (well one can hope). Maybe he understood now that they are over.

Wow. The emotion you described for Spike in this scene, especially where you think the story is not going to be as tragic as Xander dying, but then it is, was really good. I'm interested to see what happens next. I kind of hope a fist fight honestly ;).

So that's what happened , eww ,that story gave me the chills, no wonder Willow won't speak to him,can't say I would either. Why is Buffy so worried , that there will be a fight or Riley will think she's a slut or something , who cares what he think's .

Author's Response: I think she's mostly concerned that there will be some sort of altercation given her knowledge of Riley's pleasant personality. That story was kinda ick for me to write (not that I'm not prone to writing ick stuff anyway, apparently), but I'd been pretty well determined that would be the back story since the beginning. I hope it makes it pretty believable that someone as nice as Willow would cut off communication with Spike. So glad you're diggin' this fic! Thanks for the review! :)
